About
This park provide unique opportunities for visitors to enjoy natural Florida beaches. They are contiguous sections of a 100-acre property that interacts with four bodies of water; the Gulf of Mexico, Big Pass, Sarasota Bay and Brushy Bayou. Because of their convergence, currents run swift in some areas of the shoreline.

Such a Shame
Jun. 2021
Such a disgrace of a formerly beautiful, small-feel, protected park. Pulled in today after a couple of years and it felt like Corporate America in all its glory. Rental businesses took up half the parking (which is minimal at best to begin with) which tells me locals aren't really welcome anymore, especially those coming in with their own gear. Clearly this Sarasota park only wants wealthy tourists and vacationers which is what so much of "Authentic Florida" now feels like. Such a shame.

Great day in a kayak
Dec. 2020 • Family
We did a three hour self guided kayaking among the mangrove channels. Saw a dolphin, many birds, clams and crabs.

Very nice day, relaxing and quiet in nature

Christmas Eve adventure
Dec. 2020 • Couples
This hidden gem at the end of Lido key was absolutely gorgeous today! Shelling at the tip of the key was fruitful. The beach is wide with plenty of room for children of all ages! There was a tree shaded playground for children as well as restrooms and shower stations! It was a great way to spend Christmas Eve. Social distancing was super easy. Meticulous cleaning of the bathhouse doorknobs, etc. was going on while I was there! I was grateful for the fresh water after saltwater and sand grime from shelling! Co vid 19 didn’t have a chance!!

Fun mangrove tunnel paddle
Jun. 2020 • Couples
Launched our own kayaks with easy in and out, easy parking on weekday. Going through the mangrove tunnel was fun. Nice white sand at beach area south of the launch.

Great natural area to explore and will be even nicer when the new bathrooms are done! We did a kayak tour of the mangroves and then walked the beach and trails. Beautiful sand and lots of birds.

Amazing Mangrove Tunnels!
Jan. 2020
Kayaking through the beautiful mangrove tunnels is a great way to spend a morning. We brought our personal kayaks and launched them at the very easy to access and use launch area. We enjoyed our packed in lunch at a nearby beach while watching some wading birds. If you enjoy nature you will love this place.

Paradise at your fingertips
Jan. 2020 • Friends
This park has something for everyone. Beach, picnic areas, ample parking, walking/hiking paths, kayak rentals and areas to put your own kayak in, guided tours of mango areas. And yet it seems very peaceful and reserved while we were there. I’m sure in the busy months the park will be packed but for us it was just wonderful!

great stop
Nov. 2019
Been coming to Florida for over 30 years and this is the first time we tried this, Great for all ages and novice Kayakers. You will see a variety of wild life including Manatees. Guides are patient and informative. My wife and I are in our mid 80's and had no problems at all. DO IT !!
