If you drive toward the end of Lido beach you find this public park. the site has restrooms and grills to make your burgers or anything else. The beach is in the inlet and you have to watch for the currents. Locals gather with their boat at the beach and also is a good spot for kite surfing

It's not the most popular place, but it's great! Lots of shade when you've had too much sun. I love it!

We drove to the end of Lido Key and found this place. It was noon on Friday, beautiful day and parking lot was practically empty. One side was the gulf and had beach goers, the other side faced the Big Sarasota Pass and had families fishing and picnicking at tables (no swimming on that side). There was a big modern... More

This is a wonderful park. There are hidden treasures if you look including a walk in the woods behind the Inter coastal side of the park that goes back to an inlet that often has manatees. Lots of dolphin play here too. Clean facilities and bay side and beach side views. DO be careful swimming as the currents are dangerous... More

We've always enjoyed this little park at the inlet to Sarasota Bay. Small sandy bayside beach with many birds including great blue heron, dolphins, etc. Also fronts the Gulf of Mexico

What a beautiful unspoilt place to enjoy a day on the beach. The west side beach will give you fantastic sunsets, whereas the eat side beach has beautiful views of across Big Sarasota Pass to Bay Isle. Watch the the goings of boats and look out for pods of dolphins as they pass by. The very tip of South Lido... More

We like to visit every time we come to Sarasota. Parking is free and mostly shady, and even in snowbird season you can find yourself all alone on the bayou walk, and back along the beach, only bumping into the occasional angler. Good washrooms and showers, also free. Woodpeckers and cardinals can be seen, as well as Florida's national shell,... More

This location is not known to many tourists, and there's a reason. It is idyllic and special and you could spend a day and literally go back time and time again. Gorgeous water, quiet and secluded, shells and a killer sunset.
