This trail is practically in our back yard, so we ride it often - starting most of the time from Central Sarasota Parkway. We have ridden it as far south as you can go, and as far north as you can go. And someday, it...More

Enjoy this whether riding or walking. Lots of different places to pick up the trail giving different views ie housing, nature. Good place to spot birds.

We always take the trail from Venice to Sarasota when we are there in December. Lots of scenic places to stop, and can catch glimpses of wilde life. Once a bobcat crossed the trail in front of us

I wish there was more water available along the trail and wheelchair/handcycle friendly too. Some of the road crossings are a little dangerous and some people do not follow trail etiquette either. This past spring I reported a motorized biker blowing down the trail several...More

Rode bikes with family on end of trail in Venice. Quite different than other areas. Totally loved it with a nice breeze blowing off the waterway. Saw rare birds and lizards! There are plenty of places to stop and relax. Enjoy!

we already did the full legacy trail several times, and it is always a pleasure. The trail is clean, well maintained. you can stop at Oscar Scherrer park to swim, go further until Venice beach. We cannot wait for the extension !

This is a dedicated bike path. The only vehicles you might see belong to Sarasota County maintenance vehicles, who check port-a-potties, trash, brush on the path, etc.
