Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

We were 9 adults and 5 children. The children saw lions, tigers, bears and many other animals. This is a non-profit sanctuary for animals and a small show is put on in the main enclosed arena. A strong pitch is given for respecting wildlife, and...More

This experience exceeded our expectations. We had no idea they had 50 large cats. The white tiger was beautiful! You could pay to have your picture taken with him. We had no children with us, but I think children would love this place. We, as...More

This place in so cool.... getting up close with over 50 big cats is amazing. And they have the cutest bear that waves to you for a piece of a hotdog. The animals are well kept, cages so clean. This is a MUST see place!...More

The show certainly was entertaining - but was not impressed with the limited space the large cats were living in. The extensive grounds were not for their roaming

Traveling with a 2 year old who loves animals. Tour took a little over an hour. We didn't watch any specific shows. It was a fun trip.

This is the real deal. It's not a tourist attraction with trained animals. They are saving lives here. The park at the former celery fiends next door is also a great place to walk.

The Big Cat Habitat is a good outing for a family with children and is quite educational and the majority of animals are "rescues"

I wrote a true and correct submission to Trip adviser, recently. As noted in the text, were my sources of legal information concerning "Big Cat Habitat". Even though we went to see the Big Cats, we were disappointed. The time was spent on a monkey and some dogs. 1/2 the show was a commentary meant to extract money from a captive audience. Within the sources given, animal rights organizations and years of Government intervention attempts of violations done by Big Cat are a lost cause. My Question to Trip Advisor.....Is it a problem, not to print my submission, under the guise of review? I did my homework and provided the information , so you can do yours. If it is not your policy to tell the truth, then I will only continue to provide nicer things. I am guessing. this will not be printed either.
