Even though I live local to this attraction, it's always a favorite. It's more of a research facility than tourist type aquarium. It's great for kids as there are touch tanks with horseshoe crabs and sting rays, plenty of different species of fish swimming in tanks and you can watch the Sharks get fed. I like that the money goes... More

Hard to review the unique Mote Marine. For a few bucks, you get to see fish and related creatures, hear about current research, mainly focused on the Gulf, but other items as well. It's worth the trip.

We took the family to Mote Aquarium for the day and we were thrilled. There is so much to see and each display just pulls you in. We had my granddaughter who is 6 and she loved it. We had my mother who is 92 with us and she thoroughly enjoyed it. We loved it so much we opted for... More

This is a wonderful place for a family visit, especially children. The range of aquatic creatures on display is many and varied, and all are presented in easily viewable tanks. Comprehensive notes accompany each tank so you learn about the displayed creatures. There is a petting tank outside for making contact with, for instance, horseshoe crabs. All in all a... More

This is a nice aquarium, but it's not a place with tunnels you walk through and look up to see fish swimming above you or huge walls of tanks. It's more technical, and they have larger fish and manatee there. There is plenty to see there and I like the indoor outdoor set up. It's a little disappointing that you... More

Two large buidlings to explore and learn. Wonderful shark exhibit. Great spots to watch jellyfish of all sizes. The otters were cute as could be swimming around. And the mammoth Manatee and Sea Turtle playing with each other was very entertaining. The staff even suggested other parks we might enjoy and gave us a map to get there. Great staff... More

We had kids ages 3-8yrs, and all of them really enjoyed the aquarium! There are a lot of exhibits to see, great information and for kids they have a lot of interactive exhibits and touch tanks. From jelly fish to sharks and stingrays, this is worth the trip! Nemo and Dory fish were a fav for the kids, and it's... More

Most of what they do you don't see, but this place is still amazing. Research and rescue facility, but you can see jellyfish, Sharks, Rays, turtles, seahorses, manatees and now even otters between main facilities and marine mammal facility a short walk across the street. Can see rays, seahorses and sharks from babies they have on display though adults. Some... More
