What a great way to spend a few hours on a cloudy day. This place has some great fish and marine related exhibits, such as Manatee and Otters. The volunteers were extremely knowledgable and very keen to pass on their knowledge to the visitors, they left you with the impression that they were very proud of their aquarium and we're... More

Good collection of large and small marine animals. One of few opportunities to see manatees. Plan to spend a few hours.

Everyone at the Aquarium as very knowledgeable and helpful. Seeing the many varieties of fish and underwater species/organisms was really an eye opener. Nice interactive displays. Highlight was seeing the two manatees and three playful otters. A great education for both children and adults. Also loved the new beautifully assembled coral aquarium.

Very nice Aquarium with well maintained tanks and a beautiful large tank with manatees. Good place to take the kids on a cloudy day and don't forget to visit the bird zoo across the street (not affiliated) but worth visiting.

This is an amazing facility - highly recommend - not just your run-of-the-mill aquarium - truly exceptional! Some of our favorites were the sea horses , jellyfish, manatees, sea turtles - and so many exotic creatures we have never seen before. Well worth the trip!!!

We visit at least three times a year. A great place to see manatees and turtles. There is something for everyone. My daughter likes the coral, I like the big sea turtles and manatees. Do not miss this.

We were on Anna Marie Island for a week over Thanksgiving and the water was a little cold the first couple of days, so we decided to check out the Mote Marine Laboratory and Aquarium. It isn't the biggest aquarium I have ever been to, but we had a lot of fun. With kids from age 8 up to 15... More

Once you get passed the bored volunteers at the front desk and map station, all the staff and volunteers obviously loved their jobs. The animals are being treated for injuries/illnesses with the intent of release whenever possible. The interaction with humans is based in respect and admiration. A very impressive organization.

Great visit for all ages. Go early to avoid crowds. Lovely aquarium with great shark teeth digging activity for younger kids (additional cost).

Fun to see manatees, river otters, sharks etc. save the manatees and otters (separate bldg) for last. Just enough to see without it feeling dragged out. All species were very active when we went the day after thanksgiving, which seemed unusual for an aquarium.
