- Mike FAntigo, Wisconsin538 contributionsCool area!Very cool area! And a must visit if you're anywhere close to the area. Nice shopping, from nice to souvenir and a good selection of restaurants. I'm looking forward to trying a few other restaurants, day one we chose the Daiquiri Deck which was not bad. Came here a few years ago with some younger kids and rented the little cars, that was cool. Definitely worth seeing.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 12 December 2023

- patricia P137 contributionsPay for good parking. It's worth it for the conveniencePay for the convenience. Our best beach day. The sand is unbeatable from Carolina beaches to California. We paid $8/hr to park in the village but it was worth it. Easy and plenty of spots at 10am. We hopped on to beach at access #5. Then walked up to the village for lunch, back to the beach, repeat. Waves were so-so for boogie boards and quite a bit of seaweed, but have I mentioned the sand? 99%quartz.Visited April 2024Travelled with familyWritten 5 April 2024
- lovethesunnlSt. John's, Canada397 contributionsWorth a visitA very vibrant area of Siesta Key with lots of shops and restaurants. Easily accessible from Sarasota and the southern section of Siesta Key via public transportation or several “free ride” services. When we visited we were unable to find a parking spot on Ocean Blvd and could only find a parking lot that charged $7 per hour.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 4 May 2024

Parking is terrible. Public lots in the village full up way before noon.
New parking system exists with QR Codes and entry of your license plate in private lots.
It is a scam. They will charge you $40 if you overstay 1 minute in a $5 per hour lot.

Siesta key village is a very nice place to visit. If you stay in the village you can walk to a number of nice bars and places to dine.
The village operated trolly's which runs from the center of the village all the way to turtle beach and back which is very nice.
The main draw back to the village is the lack of public parking. There are private vendor lots which charge $6.00 per hour and one behind the Village café which charges $7.00 per hour with a two hour minimum which is bull.
We originally were going to stay at the recently renovated places across from the Blase cafe I believe called Siesta Key resort and suites but we had to cancel.
What really annoys me is that they were going to charge those staying $10.00 per day to park your car while staying. That's really a crappy deal and just adds to the greed. The County and or Village association really needs to do something about the lack of public parking. I don't have the answers but it really is annoying not being able to park without being gouged.

Strolling along the streets of Siesta Key Village is lots of fun! We enjoyed the variety of cute shops, the beautiful flowers everywhere and, of course, the incredible assortment of places to eat! It is a very laid back, relaxed and welcoming village. It is also small enough that you can take your time to enjoy it. Of course, it also has the number 1 rated beach in the United States nearby! Siesta Key Village and its beautiful beach are well worth a visit when in the Sarasota area!

We stayed down along Beach road, so walking to the village for the restaurants and shops was a no brainer. If you want, there are free shuttles to take you around the village as well. we dined at several of the restaurants for breakfast and dinner, and shopped at a few of the stores. It's a fun atmosphere, but really has the same stuff as every beach type tourist destination. The grocery store in the village is good for a quick grab, but the prices are exactly what you'd expect.

Nice place to walk around and enjoy the different shops and restaurant/bars.
There’s something for everyone
Public parking is plenty, it’s the problem of the pay station that doesn’t work well.
But you can find one of their workers to help
All in out it’s a great place to visit

I spent a day at Siesta Key Beach and it was so nice to have Siesta Key Village within walking distance from the beach to have a place to get meals or drinks or just take a break from the beach. Stores and restaurants were right next to each other so you didn’t have to walk long distances between buildings and many had outdoor seating. I didn’t feel uncomfortable in anyplace dressed in beach clothes. Plenty of free parking.

It’s a “party” area. Many of the restaurants have live music, many drunk people walking/stumbling around. Not too big, kind of small. Laid back. Very different vibe from St Armand’s, not necessarily a bad thing. It’s just not my thing.

i was there three years ago.( prior to covid) and dealt with parking then..i was on the key for the whole month of april this year and refused to go to the village and deal with the s*(^ show..my girl friend went there to shop and came back upset that she was harrased about parking and told she had to "buy" something (which she did and had every intention of doing) in order to stay parked..so much for the laid back vibe..they have to build a garage to park..

It is the largest concentration of shops and restaurants/bars on the island with something like 20 or so total in that few block area. Parking is difficult. If you are staying on the Siesta Key, take a shuttle, Uber, or walk.

Grazie a tutti, Daniela

Having troubles finding a good parking "map" that designates parking areas on Siesta Key?
Written 4 July 2018
There is a very large parking lot at the public beach about 2 miles north of the main bridge, but get there early in season because it fills up quickly (or go late in the afternoon). There is also a small amount of street parking farther up the beach.
If you go south to Turtle Beach there is a small lot for about 50 cars.
There are a few small parking lots in the village, and some restaurants have valet parking. There is also some street parking on side roads.

Hi! Wondering about a restaurant or catering service that could prepare a Thanksgiving dinner and deliver to a large home on Siesta Key, Canal Blvd., for about 25 people?
Written 11 July 2017
I would send an email to the top restaurants to see if they would cater.

Staying in Siesta Key 12/28-1/1. Looking for Suggestions for a condo on/near beach about $200/night, for an upbeat young married couple. Also do any bars/restaurants "celebrate" NYE with parties?
