We spent about 3 hours walking various trails in Myakka State Park. The park is developed enough to be easy to tour, but remains very natural. We stopped at the visitor center and watched several films prior to walking trails, and then walked the nature trail, the canopy walkway, and the bird trail. The park is large, so it works... More

Definitely worth a visit. There are many hiking trails, cute canopy walk, and bodies of water with abundance of wildlife. The vegetation is stunning, any wildlife & nature enthusiast will enjoy their visit - recommend!

Beautiful State Park. Have been here over Christmas the last three years. So much to see. If you are a nature and bird lover, this is the place for you. We took the scenic tracker/tram ride, which was very educational and fun. The alligators always make a great photo opportunity. So much to do and see in one day. Many... More

Alligators in their natural habitat pretty cool to see! Trails are really cool. Bridge was fun and tower was pretty cool.

We did the boat tour and walked around the park near the water. Unfortunately the day we went was over cast and we didn't get to see a lot of alligators but we got to see about 6 or so. We also got to see a bald eagle and flamingos and tons of birds.
