I very much enjoyed my visit to Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. There is great artistic and educational merit to the way the gardens were created. Orchids are my favorite flower, and there are dozens of beautiful, colorful varieties to see here. There are gardens dedicated...More

Selby Gardens is a must visit fora a relaxing time to enjoy beautiful gardens and some low key activity focused on botanical novelties. Don't expect a theme part venue to entertain hyperactive children, the atmosphere is relaxed and slow paced. There are some entertaining hands-on...More

This is a real jewel on the Sarasota Bayfront. Don't miss the Orchid House and then take the path along the water. There is surprisingly good casual food available at the cafe with indoor and outdoor seating.

There are lots of blooms because they have indoor conservatories and the freeze did not affect the gardens much because they are right by the ocean and that doesn't freeze.

I honesty don’t know. They have a small restaurant that mainly served sandwiches. I haven’t seen people bringing their own food.
