We saw Louis and Ella on opening night. Being a musician I was really pleased to see a live 4 piece band with an excellent rhythm section. The piano player(musical director) worked hard and being a bassist I really enjoyed being close to the bass player so I could watch his technic. Did I saw "being close". There is not... More

We saw "lend me a Tenor" on Thursday evening. We were greeted by friendly volunteers who made us feel right at home. The theater had an intimate feel. The seats were comfortable and you could see well from all of them. The singing and acting was fabulous. We really enjoyed the story and appreciated the talent. I'm so glad we... More

Saw "Lend Me A Tenor" on Saturday night and was pleasant surprised at the talent on stage and the smoothness of the production. Well done!

Sunday Jazz concerts, concerts, and theater....have enjoyed them all over my 6 yrs attending. Always the highlight of my trip to Sanibel. Monday Indie night movie shows what can be done with talented, committed volunteers picking the content.

Each year one of the first stops we make when we get to Sanibel Island is to BIG Arts to buy our tickets for some of the best programs the island offers. Forum, if there are tickets left; concerts; or other programs. All the best! On Sundays at BIG Arts, one of the best kept secrets is the Sanibel Jazz... More

Have had the opportunity to watch two shows at Big Arts and was pleased each time. Godspell last year and Musical of Musicals this past weekend. Artists were fantastic, theater was great, and the performances were outstanding. Definitely put this one on your list to do--take in a show. You won't be disappointed.

We love BIG Arts. We found Monday Indie Movie night an important part of our stay, and looked forward to every single screening while we were there. We enjoyed the reception and especially the discussion afterward. It will be a big part of our visit next year.

My friends and I recently attended the well done play called Camping With Henry and Tom at the BIG ARTS Herb Strauss theater. The actors superbly portrayed the characters of Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and President Warren G. Harding so that we were able to get a glimpse into history. The story was based on true incidents as these fellows... More

We saw "Tom and Henry Go Camping". It was well done. The theatre only holds about 80-100 people, so all seats are good. THE CAVEAT: the box office is on Dunlop Road, but the theatre is on Periwinkle Way. If we hadn't scoped it out the afternoon before, we would have been searching all over Dunlop for it. The building... More

Although we are long-time Sanibel visitors, we had never visited either theatre in the BIG-Arts complex. But, this year, staying longer into January and invited by our guest, we attended both the "Camping with Henry and Tom" play and the Slo-can Ramblers Bluegrass concert. Both the smaller and larger theaters were comfortable and well suited to these performances. And both... More
