Anyone who cares a wit about wildlife should visit CROW for a lecture and guided tour. It is one of the best facilities for rehabilitation, we've ever seen. It deals with injured, sick and orphans of any species. About 60% of their patients are birds, while 30% are mammals and 10% are reptiles. The guided tour is set up in... More

I have been to Sanibel Island many times and kept hearing about C.R.O.W. This year we finally managed to take a guided tour. I really enjoyed the tour, which took about 1 and a half hours. First you listen to one of the vets there talk about the origin, operation, the animals they see there, etc. The tour begins walking... More

This is a must visit facility on an island where there is little more to do than beach it. It is a small wildlife veterinary facility which has a student population. Don't expect to pet any of the animals as they are all released back into the wild as soon as they are healed. It is a working facility which... More

What an amazing place that saves animals hurt on and around the area of Sanibel. This team of amazing staff and volunteers fixes and releases animals to their natural environments, if at all possible. Our donations are key to their success.

We arrived just in time (11AM) to hear a live lecture on rehabilitation and the current animals under treatment. Very knowledgeable and engaging. Got to touch a possum and watch him eat a tomato

We visited CROW for the "Wildlife Walk" tour of the facility, the presentation from both of our guides was excellent and very informative. Don't miss this when visiting Sanibel, the experience is great and your dollars will support a very worthwhile cause.

I learned so much about the many ways we impact wildlife and the extraordinary measures this organization takes to alleviate suffering and return animals to the wild. Excellent!

We listened to a presentation by an employee (didn't catch the beginning so not sure of her title) about some of the animals rescued and helped at the center. Disappointed that we couldn't actually see any of the animals except for the tortoise and owl ambassadors (and a couple of geckos).

Great place if you are interested in local wildlife and their care. Great staff and volunteers to answer questions - closed circuit TV into the exam/intake rooms. Once a week extended tours throughout the whole facility - if you're into wildlife and it's protection, DO stop here.
