Great beach. It's a walk from the parking area to the beach, but it's a nice adventure. I recommend Bowmans beach if you don't mind a 5 min walk. Nice shelling.

This is one of the beaches on the island with a larger parking area so it's usually busier than others. However, "busy" on Sanibel is much different than most Florida beaches so with a short walk you can still feel like you're not too crowded...More

Great beach if your'e planning on spending the entire day. It's a bit of a walk to the beach from the parking but not too bad. Having bathrooms, foot showers, and changing areas so close is really helpful.

Visiting from NY, we stopped here on a recommendation from a staff member of the nearby shell museum. The beach was very nice and clean, but we were here for the shells.

We were just there and no see-ums. It was windy but beautiful warm sunny day. Early morning, late afternoon is when they seem to be around but we had NO problem at all. Don't let this be a trip disruption. Any bug spray... More
