My wife and I hadn't thought about putting a farmer's market on our vacation list, but we saw the sign and went in. Wow! Italian food, Mexican food, French food, fresh pasta, chicken waffles, local fruits and vegetables, and a seafood truck with a long, long line next to it. A+ all the way, folks. Take time while you're on Sunday. If you skip breakfast first, you can eat your way through the market. Parking can be difficult (at Big Arts), so get there early.

While on vacation at Sanibel we visited the Farmers Market and it was a lot of fun with a lot of people enjoying it including us. My husband bought some delicious fresh shrimp. I bought some tasty French deserts which were delicious! Also, some fresh bagels which were good and etc. It was a nice day (Sunday) and the weather was perfect. If your at Sanibel it is definitely worth visiting!

We arrived right at 8 AM to see the locals running to the market. We found them at the Fresh Fish Truck, by far the most popular vendor, it seemed. We enjoyed our first Açaí Bowl - delicious! Bought some fresh-made guacamole & chips to take back to our room. Empanadas were tasty, fresh pastries - so yummy! Will be ordering the Keto Cookies to be shipped when we get back home and the pasta, colored with vegetables and spices, not dyes, beautiful and healthy. Even bought a woven hat to wear on the trip that packs beautifully. Coordinating our next visit so that we can be sure to make it to the Market! You literally couple do your shopping for the week right here! Amazing!

As you enter the market there is a Fish merchant called Island Seafood Market. At around 9:00 with the market opening at 8:00, there was a line of about 45 feet approximately. Well, out in the sun, the wait for fish was over 45 minutes. I believe that this is due to the fact that only ONE person was serving customers and taking the money. The fish is superb and fresh but i feel to respect customers there should be more employees on hand.

From the stress of driving to this market, trying to park and the trying to navigate through it. No one told me about the horrific traffic eon Sanibel. We had to park in overflow parking to walk to the market. There were so many people there it was a highly stressful event. I bought a great raffia hat, though. And great food. But we prepared to crawl through both automotive and people traffic.

The Sanibel Farmers Market is a wonderful place to shop and eat while looking at beautiful displays of produce, flowers, pastries, art and crafts. There are treats for the whole family. A great place to stock up on garden fresh produce if you are starting a week aon the beach at one of the nearby condos.

This is one of the largest farmers markets I’ve ever seen. This was our first time here. Wow! Fresh produce. Home bakes bread. Fresh fish. Cheese. Pasta. Art. On and on. Be aware unbelievably crowded this time of year. Go early and bring your reusable shopping bags. You’re gonna need them.

I have been to many farmer's markets around Florida and Sanibel's is one of the best. As others have mentioned, there are a lot of prepared foods and fresh vegetables, fresh baked goods/breads and fish. It does get quite busy so getting parking was somewhat challenging. I would suggest getting there early as some vendors sell out of items.

Such a huge variety of fruits, vegetables, breads, guacamole, coffee, flowers and handmade jewelry, plus a few food trucks. Nicely laid out so the flow of people was easy to maneuver. Recommend going early to avoid the heavy foot traffic.

Love this market so much! So many options. My favorite is Lisa V Holistic Skin. Her skincare works wonders and you can see it in real time with sampling. Completely cleared my acne.
Love the helichrysum serums and jasmine perfume! Phenomenal!
