Kayak rentals very reasonable. Good food on site and covered area to eat. Try the mahi (fish) sandwich. Nice alternative to theme parks. Mid-week not crowded. Good mix of quiet outdoors and other people to interact with.

We stopped to see Katie's Landing and its a really nice little park with public restrooms, looks like you can drop a small boat, canoe or kayak for $3. There were also a couple of picnicking sites. Its kept up very well.
Nice peaceful place to launch. Back to nature. Highly recommend. Paddle up river then relax on way back down. Saw 1 otter. No gators but sure plenty were there.
I've been kayaking here twice - once with my daughter Whitney and once with my husband Frank. Both times were wonderful - easy to rent and a beautiful river to explore. We will be back!!
