Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The St. Petersburg Waterfront Parks, of which South Straub Park a part, are absolutely great! These parks comprise one of the largest contiguous waterfront park systems in North America! South Straub Park is a shady delight with a large fountain, sculpture, seating and a marvelous view of Tampa Bay and the St. Pete Marina on one side and delightful shops and restaurants on the other. A beautiful place to stroll, sightsee or just relax.

This park is right by the water and has wonderful pathways through luscious vegetation and plenty of benches for seating along the way. Definition worth a visit.

It is difficult to separate North Straub Park, South Straub Park and Albert Whitted Park as they all run into each other, creating an enjoyable green walkway along the waterfront, running from the Vinoy Renaissance hotel, past the Museum of Arts to the Dali Museum and Marina. An enjoyable place to stroll, run or sit, it makes St Petersburg a city to walk rather than to drive in a car and provides great views back to the city.
The pier is undergoing redevelopment and I look forward to seeing this once it is complete.

This is part of the Strasbourg Park-north and south-that was dedicated in 1939. Fantastic park to walk around downtown St.Pete. If you like boats walk around the marina. Or just stroll and take in the ambience of downtown St. Pete. Park on the street and take a stroll--you will be glad you did.

The park's located alongside the downtown marina area just down from where the pier used to be (under reconstruction) and named after a former editor of the St Petersburg Times. The park is nicely tended with decorations/nativity scene ready for Christmas - guess they're all lit up at night. There's metered parking all around ($1ph) and the pier area is just down the road - it's now demolished and should be rebuilt and finished sometime 2018, at which time the area will be a great attraction. There's plenty of bars/cafes/restaurants nearby.

Good place to walk a dog or throw a frisbee. Could also throw a football or baseball with kids. The weekend brings festivals and markets in this area.

Why should, the locals be the only ones to know the best place to take that good book and read in perfect peace and quiet on the bench that is,bound to become your favorite? I like to stop by and enjoy the play of,the clouds above while I'm eating my sandwich after a morning of volunteering. You may prefer the end of the day. Just remember, it's yours to enjoy!

It is so well kept and pleasant -- clean benches, a working fountain (Bicentennial Water Sculpture), blooming trees, flower beds and walking paths. Some info about William Straub -- a former editor of the St. Petersburg Times who had done a lot for 'the beautification of the city' -- was also useful. Makes you appreciate the past and enjoy the present. I had a really good time there, walking and admiring beautiful nature and views of the Beach Drive.

The park frequently hosts special events, festivals and fundraisers. It is conveniently located downtown St Pete right next to the marina and its sister park, North Straub Park. There is a fountain but no other facilities in the park, it's great for a stroll after dinner in one of the Beach Drive restaurants.

This is a park designed for you to stroll through and perhaps sit a while. There are no park-specific activities such as playgrounds or picnic tables.
