This is a pretty cool place to visit, especially for fisherman. You can drive your car directly onto the pier which is great to reduce lugging gear and coolers. Not sure about the actual fishing report, but there was a good amount of people enjoying...More
We came with a little gear and some frozen squid and all the kids caught something. Mostly small pinfish but they had a great time. It’s a neat view of the bay too. Next rime we will try the south side pier. A smart use...More
My husband and I visited the Fishing pier on Saturday evening. He spent his time fishing while I enjoyed an opportunity to photograph the Sunshine Skyway bridge and surrounding areas. Albeit, the pier offers tremendous views, it is filthy and over-crowded. Should you choose to...More
Our awesome guides from Coastal Kayak told us the longest fishing pier in the world was nearby so we had to go check it out. We went on both North and south ends for the views, not for the fishing. The North end is much...More
Ok to watch sunsets and sunrises but horrible as a fishing location. You’re charged $1.25 to cross the skyway bridge even if you don’t, and then charged $4 per car and $4per person plus tax to get on the pier. Take your money to Publix...More
This is a 24 hour fishing spot, so I came here to accompany a friend fishing, and we came late at night and stayed all the way until the sunrise which was such a memorable experience. Something about watching the sun rise and being surrounded...More
I would have given a 5 except for the money it cost to go on the pier it should be monitored 24 hrs if there open 24 hrs the rest room at end of pier was the most disgusting place I have ever walked into....More
$4 per car then $4 per person gets you on the old bridge to fish without needing a license. Bait shop was open, but snack bar wasn't. Maybe because it was Match 29th and not busy season. Restrooms were clean. We enjoyed catching some fish...More
I personally have had more luck, with a greater variety of fish on the North, but that is my own preference. If you pay the fee at one it is good for 24 hours and you can use the pass on the north or south side.
