Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Birthday celebration in St. Petersburg, FL. Chose the Vinoy for its renown, paid a lot (a lot!) per night. Building is wonderful. Rooms suck. Worn out rugs, old furniture, minimal amenities in the bathroom. This is in need of a major transformation and should not accept customers paying $500 a night (nor any customer, in fact, until renovated). They state they have a renovated tower but we were not fortunate enough to be there. After changing room we were not inclined to change again. We will never go back.

Very clean park which is great for walking any time of the day. I liked going early in the morning to see the sunrise. Connects to paths along the shore all the way to the Dali Museum and probably further.

This is really the perfect park for a picnic, a bike ride, a walk, or just afternoon and nightly stroll. I absolutely loved this spot and would recommend to anyone near downtown Saint Pete. Some tremendous views of the bay, marine life, and palm trees. They also had pop up shops and music festival when I visited. Too bad I was staying in Tampa or I would have me a return trip!

I went out early morning for a walk and this park is a great place for that. It is right on the bay. I saw a dolphin (they usually are visable in the AM and late Afternoon) and watched the Pelicans feeding. It was very peaceful and a nice place for a stroll.

A fantastic walk from Coffeepot Blvd all the way to the Dali Museum. Clean and well maintained, not much can be done about the seaweed smell by the swimming pool. Lots of options to sit and watch sunrises. Check out the dolphins right beside the seawall

We spent a week in St. Pete and enjoyed walking through Vinoy Park. The view of the water was great and we were lucky enough to see two dolphins and a manatee. We walked all the way to Coffee Pot Bayou and then strolled back through the historic district. The breeze off the water was a great way to keep cool during the warm days.

went to experience the park but curious about the gathering & lighting in the distance. Went to visit the Pier and was delighted to see everything happening there along with the restaurant. The trolley riding us out was a nice touch.

Located along the waterfront, Vinoy Park is a pleasant place to take a stroll. There are many seabirds that fish along the waterfront, and dolphins are commonly sighted swimming not far from the seawall as they hunt for fish. There are some benches, and people bring their lunches to enjoy. A nice interlude from exploring the sites of the city.

Vinoy Park is a nice setting on the bayfront of St. Petersburg. There are parking and walking paths connecting to the pier and bayfront. Great place to enjoy the views of both the bay and city. A relaxing setting.

I just stumbled across this area when I wanted to go for a walk and look at the water. What a treat. Lots of lovely families enjoying the park. I liked watching the dogs at the dog park. Loads of places to walk.

Can you bring a 10x10 beach pavilion for the st pete pride parade at vinoy Park? I've seen them in the past but wasn't sure of the rules or guidelines if any.

Can you bring a battery-powered fan into Vinoy Park during a concert
Written 18 August 2019
Hello,
Thank you for your question about Vinoy Park. I am not sure if you can or can't bring in a battery powered fan into a concert. That all depends upon the concert promoters and security for the event.
My best advice is to ask where you purchased the tickets from as they should be able to answer that question better then I can since this can vary depending on the event. I regret for not being able to better directly answer your question, however I want you to get the correct answer.
Enjoy the concert as I have seen a few acts there myself.

Can you bring a beach umbrella, 10x10 pavilion, beach tent or any other form of shade? Can you bring your own water?
Written 21 July 2018
You can bring both water and umbrellas at events, but a 10 X 10 beach tent isn't allowed for concerts at the venue...Other times it's ok.

I am going to Sunshine Blues fest. I am having trouble walking. Is there anywhere for disabled to be dropped off. I can't do that long walk anymore. Help please. Thanks!
Written 13 January 2018
The city of St. Petersburg recommends that you contact them directly for a disabled drop-off location.

I was considering buying reserved seating VIP however I'm worried about being an out in the sun all day is there any cover for that area?
Written 10 January 2018
If you are going to a concert there at Vinoy Park, do NOT plan on having access to any pavilions, or even vendor tents to provide you with shade. There are no permanent pavilions in the park, and it can get quite hot on a sunny day, particularly during the late spring and summer months.

Is there parking for RV motorcoaches anywhere near the park?
Written 18 December 2017
Hi...With the construction, narrow streets and copious pedestrians, I would not attempt to drive an RV into this area. Best to come by boat, actually...
Written 20 December 2017
This park is in fact an open park but is enclosed by portable fences for concerts in the open air. Coolers are NOT permitted during concerts, nor are outside food or drinks. At any other time when there is no event going on that is a pay event you may bring a small cooler.

How does viewing the 2 stages work. I only see one stage on the seat map. And, how's viewing from the general admission area with a chair?
Thanks.
Written 13 January 2017
really depends on the venue where they choose to put the stages. you will need to contact them to find out the lay out
