had a great time at this even though I'm not a big art fan. Got onto one of the tours and got great information and explanations as we went around. The later works really amazed me when they were properly explained

The Dali Museum is housed in a building whose architectural style is modern and quirky. One exterior side contains a blue glass tube-like addition. The building overlooks the St. Petersburg harbor. Visitors can use a free recordered player to explain the paintings or you can use a volunteer tour guide. We used a tour guide and he was outstanding! Dali's... More

A MUST-SEE. The museum architecture as well as the collection itself. Learned so much about some of the things that "inspired" Dali, including the non-relationship with his father.

When we first arrived, we were kind of disappointed that the building was a big cement block, or so it seemed from the parking lot. Once you get inside, it becomes much more interesting! The first floor contains, student paintings, a restaurant, gift shop, and entrance to back terrace. The back terrace has some interesting sculptures, and a labyrinth. All... More

Salvador Dali Museum is a really unique building in Florida. It is believed that the building was built to match the creativity of the artist. In this museum people come to see the exhibition of paintings made by the most celebrated artists Salvador Dali. The museum showcases pieces from throughout Dali's career, which provides a complete overview of the artist... More

Please spend the extra money and hire a Docent! We do every time we have out of town guests and we are never disappointed. We've been to the Museum over 10 times and every time it's like a wonderful new journey of Art!

The audio tour is free - you can download the tour to your phone. If you forget to bring your earbuds, they loan you a headset free. Or you can get a free audio tour device. There are free docent tours - highly recommended. Giant paintings with lots of symbolism, geometrics, optical illusions, etc. The outdoor avant garden is wonderful.

I had the pleasure of working with the Dali Museum at its original location on 3rd street, a simple space adjacent to the bay. The new space is a really beautiful addition to the bay front area in downtown St. Pete. I've always admired his work and have seen pieces in museums around Europe, but this collection is very special... More

My favorite Museum in the world, there is so much to see, and so much more to Dali than I ever knew. His master works are beautiful, and I could spend days there
