The museum is thoughtfully designed and planned with a flow to the experience and an emphasis on fun! The employees/volunteers are very helpful and willing to get involved on the child's level... Sometimes on the floor, engaged and motivating. My 3yr old especially loves the reptile exhibit and makes a point to always visit his turtle friends! A great place... More

Rainy day..staying on Treasure Island with a 2.5 year old. Decided to take a drive to Great explorations Easy to get to and free parking ...no hassles. Price is reasonable for what you get. I can't say enough about the place. Clean, well laid out, lots to do and see for a toddler. My grandson never stopped smiling. He shopped, drove... More

Decided to drive up from Sarasota for something different for the kids. It was well worth the drive. A super creative and fun environment and educational too! My 3.5 and 1.5 year olds loved everything about it. We loved it so much we are now members and can't wait to go back!

My grand daughters 4th birthday was at this museum. The children loved all things to do. Real mini shopping carts and grocery store was so amazing.

In the area visiting family from out of state and figured I would check this place out for my toddler because we have a museum membership in MI that is reciprocal with this one. When I pulled in to the parking lot I was surprised because I thought the building looked rather small from the outside and, even when first... More

My neighbors and I went on Veterans Day to check it out. It is pretty much attached to the sunken gardens so add that to do as well! The museum was medium sized but with so much to explore! They have a touch and feel dark tunnel to try out which was fun (bring your cell phone for light for... More

We went on a rainy Monday, only to find out they were closed. There was a sign on the door. However, no mention of it on the website. We saw parent after parent walk away upset that they had gone all the way down to this location, only to see it closed.

I took my 1 yr old grandson today for the first time. He would have spent the whole day there if he could have. He love the area for the little ones, the balls, sand with shovels and rakes, milking the cow and all the other things to do. I thought for $10 it was a great deal. We didn't... More
