Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This site was not on my list of places to visit during our three days in St. Augustine (due to its small size), but we arrived early for our Nights of Lights tour on Dec. 30 and decided to check it out while we were waiting. We (four adults) are all history buffs (in varying degrees), and since I was in St. Augustine to learn about Florida’s settlement and history, I felt it added to my education and therefore was time and money well spent. It is a small museum, but it contains well-done exhibits that would engage anyone willing to give a little effort to explore the subject matter.

Museum was ok, not a really exciting museum but there were a few nice exhibits. I wouldn't bother with this one again.

Hidden behind the store at stop one of the old town trolley tours is the history museam. It is worth the time to go in as you will learn about the Indians that were here first, then the Spanish, the crackers, who were the very poor northerners that ate mostly cracked corn, now known as grits. The rich would stay at Flagler's hotels, spending as much as 4,000 dollars per winter season, then the tin canners who came in converted model t fords and were the first RVers. The brought water and gas in tin cans and ate tinned food from the north. Then there were the crackers.

This review is just for the general store. When ever we needed postcards, this is the place to go to. Large selection at a good price. Take time to walk around the store, other interesting stuff to pick up. The prisoner shirts will come to good use on Halloween. Store is clean and staff friendly. Plenty of free parking too.

Tickets were included with trolley package. No one took our tickets so I guess it may be free anyways. Definitely not worth it if you had to pay for it but worth taking a peek of its included or free. Had some neat things but nothing I would have paid to see.

This museum and tour is self-guided and comes included with the Trolley tour. It has interesting exhibits and doesn't take too long to walk through. Not a bad "extra" from the Trolley ticket price.

This is a self guided tour, if your into the 15th century history, this would be ok to visit. Not much information. The train set up was pretty cool, other then that nothing appealing here.

If I would have had to pay for this, I would have asked for a refund. However, the 5-minute walk through was worth the free admission for us. We were waiting on the next trolley, so we decided to walk through quickly. Quickly is all it took. If it's free for you, go ahead and walk through. Otherwise, skip it!

This looked to be just a tourist store but it turned out to be much more. Inside were many reproductions of typical items found in the early exploration of St. Augustine. Interactive scenes for the children. A great way to spend a rainy morning.
