Very cool and interesting history behind the tree. Just wish the hotel staff outside would’ve been more friendly to us.

If you like seeing 600 year old trees, this is a good example of one. They even have some cafe tables and chairs around it if you want to grab a take-out lunch and eat under it. It's amazing to think this tree was there...More

The Senator tree is located behind a hotel, we were on the trolley and were told it was over 600 years old, this oak tree is massive and beautiful, I hope it last many more years to come. Go see it, or take the trolley.

I chose the motel based on it having the tree! Lovely to look at! There are tables underneath where we ate our free continental breakfast, and take out sandwiches. You can hear the peacocks from the Fountain of Youth attraction nearby, and it is very...More

We came across this tree purely by luck as our trolley stopped here and the guide explained the history of this tree. It reminded me of Sequoia trees and the large trees we came across at Yosemite only late last year and it was great...More

Ok, it’s just a tree but 600 Years is old, especially in hurricane country. Located in the Ramada inn parking lot which makes for a bit of a disappointment- but go see the tree!

Over 600 years old this live oak is huge and seen it all. Think about it, the tree was here 150 years before Ponce de Leon. Today it is in the parking lot of of a motel.

Worth the trip to see an old glory live oak tree that dates back to the beginnings of Saint Augustine. If only trees could talk, what a tail it could spin.

The Old Senator is growing in the middle of a hotel parking lot ... but has been certified as being OLD! It's just one of the stops of the hop-on/hop-off trolley tour ... and a cut-through to the Fountain of Youth park. There are still...More

While It's only a tree, it is one of the oldest in the state. Needs to be seen. Especially for those fans of the oak variety.
