San Sebastian Winery, founded in 1996 is located at 157 King Street, St. Augustine, Florida in one of Henry Flagler’s old East Coast Railway buildings located just a few blocks from historic downtown. According to historians, this area is the birthplace of American wine, dating back to 1562. Today, San Sebastian ranks as one of Florida's premium wineries, and remains a pioneer in the development of table, sparkling and dessert wines from hybrid and muscadine grapes. Port and Cream Sherry dessert wines are produced by and sold under the San Sebastian brand. All together, San Sebastian labels have won over 1,600 awards for excellence in winemaking, with more coming in each season. Every year more than 100,000 people are expected to visit the winery’s extensive tasting room and wine shop. San Sebastian Winery has an overall production of over 80,000 cases, (that’s over 960,000 bottles!). San Sebastian wines are sold at the winery and at major supermarkets and wine shops throughout Florida and Georgia. “The Cellar Upstairs” Wine, Jazz & Blues Bar, open weekends, is located on the rooftop of the Winery building and is a best kept secret with locals. The Cellar Upstairs features incredible live music from a wide range of talented local and regional Bands. Relax to the music and enjoy the tremendous views overlooking the St. Augustine skyline while enjoying a glass of San Sebastian Wine, draft beer and light appetizers.

Overall not a bad stop for an hour or so, as long as you enjoy wine. The free wine tasting is more like a self-tour tasting unlike the distillery down the street. You don't really learn much about their wine and process. The wine overall...More

They have very good wine tastings here, drink a little of their different wines then eat some crackers to clean your palate. You can buy wine by the case for some savings.

Nice little winery but we stopped in hoping to do a quick tasting and were told we had to do the tour first. We were traveling with our one year old so that wasn't the most convenient but we tried it out anyway. The tour...More

Stopped in while out for the day with my SIL and her preteen daughter. The winery is lovely, and I especially enjoyed the port and sherry we tasted. No issue having a well behaved non-adult with us. I was very disappointed that they wouldn’t ship...More

Visited on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and was initially concerned about how long the tour would take as the line was out the door. The tour was actually very efficient. The staff were very informative and very charming considering how many sips of...More

Wine tasting was great. Staff excellent. Good variety to sample and to buy. Some decorative bottles. One shaped like the St. Augustine Lighthouse. Some of the cost of the bottle goes to preservation of the lighthouse.

We really enjoyed the few hours we spent here. The tour was interesting and the tasting was well-done. We were during the week so we had the tasting in a separate room. There is a fun gift shop with wine accessories, and a beautiful rooftop...More

Really had a nice time at the winery. Sat up top ordered wine and small plates. The wait staff there was really nice and attentive. The only thing I thought was a bit off was when we took the self-tour which included wine tastings...the people...More
