The St. Augustine Wild Reserve offers tours on an appointment-only basis. Tours are held in the afternoon, on Mon, Wed, and Sat at 2pm. Email to make reservations. Children under 5 are free. Guests will be given a guided tour of the compound by an experienced wildlife professional. An introduction to each species, basic biology, and how the species arrived at our sanctuary will be discussed in detail. Visitors will be allowed a close-up view of the exotic animals, and will be able to venture closer to adult African lions and tigers than they ever imagined. Guests will meet our amazing white tigers, orange tigers, a very rare golden tabby tiger, cougars, servals, lynxes, leopards, hyenas, coati mundis, and a host of wolves ranging in color from black to white. We feed all of the big cats on the tours, and set up a tiger bubblebath for at least one tiger. We do not allow photography, however, we do offer a fabulous photo CD for a small donation.

We had a beautiful time at a beautiful place. The tour guide, Karen, knows everything about every animal - wow! The staff is lovely and it is clear they are extremely passionate about their 'mission.'

The reserve is located about 30 minutes from downtown St Augustine. The animals and guides were amazing. We basically followed along during feeding time, so we got to see the animals before, during and after they had eaten. They all had been rescued from various...More

This reserve exceeded our expectations. It is a small nonprofit, staffed by volunteers who are passionate about the animals. They obviously spend much time learning about the needs of each creature and have a wonderful relationship with them. There are primarily big cats (magnificent!) but...More

This facility is home to many exotic animals, mostly cats since it is a big cat rescue. They do tours, at scheduled times and may seem to be a bit pricey, but well worth it. Just knowing the tour fee is going to a great...More

Get up close to big cats. The guides are very knowledgeable and teach you so much. Cats in the wild, cat breeders...they know it all. Each animal has their own story. Don't miss this tour!

We were greeted by the staff as we were pulling in. They were all super friendly. As we waited for the tour to start, we checked out the skunk, the deer, the chickens and the peacocks that were running around the yard. Once the tour...More

As a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation person with outdoor education experience I loved what and how they taught. I can’t speak enough about the heart and soul the volunteers and person who started and heads the operation have. They are beautiful people. Notes: -No photography...More

All the critters on display in this reserve were rescued, some from dire situations of abuse and neglect. You can get up close, hear their stories from the staff and watch them get fed, always exciting with a big carnivore! None of these animals could...More
