Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I had not been to the wax museum in years. They have added so much!! My husband and I could have spent several hours in the museum reading about each wax figure. It is truly amazing how the figures are made and how life-like they look, very interesting.

I revisited the Potter Museum since I remember it from my childhood. The realistic eyes convince you the models are watching you. Each figure has a card with a summary of their life and how they died. A little smaller than I remembered. Pleasant staff and a fun experience.

It’s no Madam Tussauds, but considering this is the oldest wax museum and nowhere on the scale of hers, I’d say it’s worth the visit if you are in St Augustine. With presidents, musicians, writers, royalty, and more, there’s something to catch your eye for sure. You may even see their artists making a figure right there on the premises!

We wanted to go to this Museum as a result of seeing it on one of the "hop-on-hop-off" tours. What a great place to visit! The wax figures are phenomenal, and it is obvious that they take a lot of care in attention to history and detail.

This place is full of history. Saw this as part of the Ghost Tour and learned a lot of the buildings past including the pharmacist who worked there years ago. Great guides who did an awesome job explaining everything. See this as part of a ghost tour, it's worth it.

I wish we had time to have taken a tour inside this wax museum but we were short on time. We did however go ghost hunting at night. We came by Potters to snap pictures. And we caught a dark figure that was inside the front window. Next time we are in St Augustine we will be sure to walk through. And hope to talk to staff on their experiences

This was a place we came upon on an evening stroll to dinner and stopped to check it out. The price was reasonable (even without the coupon we later discovered St. Francis Inn had included in our package), so we took the tour. The history was so interesting and the figures were very accurate! This was a favorite of our trip!

We went to the Old Drug Store just to see the drug store display, and not do Potter's Wax Museum. The nice thing is, they didn't pester us to go into the museum. They just let us enjoy their display of old medicines and cures found at the front of the store...pretty interesting ideas about how to heal folks! Also there was some information about the history of this old establishment. While perusing, we saw a drug carton from our hometown..kind of fun!

I was expecting more recent characters to be in the museum. it is 99% old people like past kings, queens, presidents. I took a 12 and 10 year old. The didn't complain but they walked through quickly and didn't ask to take and photos. I guess we should have expected that since it says is the first wax museum.

It was interesting to see life size figures of the famous. I liked the Presidents best. Some looked exactly like the real person, others almost. Best of all we eat lunch across from this place which had great burgers and didn’t break the budget!
