East & West
Oct. 2021 • Couples
East Side: Nice little parking area off A1A. This side has a long board walk to the beach with steps and handicap access. Beautiful soft white sand. Like walking in soft snow. The sand nearest to the water is nice and packed. Super place to watch the sunrise. Lots of fishing boats typically visible. Dog friendly. Plenty of 🏝 beach. No facilities here FYI

West Side: Calm water. River/inlet beach. Dog friendly. Great spot to walk, picnic, fish, watch watercraft, etc. free parking. Water can be murky sometimes. No facilities but they did have portable restrooms there if you so desire to use one. Don’t take home shells like the one photographed as they are homes.

Shell Hunting
Aug. 2020 • Couples
This is the most beautiful beach!!! Great for shell hunting. I was told there are shark teeth but we were unable to find any, probably because we didn't know what to look for. The sound of the water rolling over the shells was magical.

Very pretty but not a good beach for swimming.
Jul. 2020 • Family
This beach was very pretty to look at and has shallow water which is great for little one’s or someone who doesn’t like waves. This area however had very little parking, the water smelled like fish and wasn’t clear, I couldn’t walk without stepping on something sharp, and it wasn’t deep enough to swim.

Beautiful, quiet place to get some vitamin SEA!
Jul. 2019 • Friends
Loved stopping here for a refreshing sit by the sea and enjoy the sun, salt, sand and fresh air! This place is quiet and we parked along the roadside by some houses and walked down a pathway to sit and enjoy the solitude.

Beautiful serene area

Lovely soft sand not heavily populated. See many fishing or just sunbathing. Lovely area with places to see and go to.

Fantastic location, good parking, great beach, great fishing.
Dec. 2018 • Family
Great place to stop and spend some time on the beach, do some fishing and just walk around the inlet and then up the Atlantic coast. Lots to see, not too busy and good place to swim and get out of the wind of its breezy.

Family Beach Day (May 2017)
May 2018 • Family
Enjoyed this beach day with our family. It was an interesting beach, with the Atlantic on one side and the main recreation area at the internal mouth of the inlet. It was very shallow with lots of area to search for shells and play safely in the water.

We will return.

A perfect drive
Nov. 2018 • Solo
I would love to make a suggestion that any person visiting Saint Augustine that wants a beautiful drive take old A1A down the coast stop here and at least go to Marineland!

Not My Favorite
Jul. 2018 • Couples
The ocean side is gorgeous.the intracoastal side is also pretty but it gets crowded by noon on a nice weekend and parking is impossible to find by then. If you get there by 10 am you can easily find parking on most weekends and it’s FREE. I would still rather pay the money and go to Anastasia beach. Simply drive north and turn at the Oasis. You can drive on the beach there, though, I don’t know about their latest rules about 4x4 requirements. Anastasia is my favorite beach in North Florida.
