Local Hidden Treasure!

And by hidden I do mean hidden but in a good way! Beautiful tranquil park, great for a picnic or riding bikes with beautiful water views. Lots of trees that offer shade

Love this place! Nice areas to picnic, party, play or even put your boat in the water. Worth a day to visit.

Iconic shaded County Park at the top of Tampa Bay. Filled with ancient oaks dripping moss, lots of picnic shelters along the Bay and walking/driving paths. Contains an interesting Indian Shell Mound. Well worth a visit!

Its a nice park. Lots of covered areas for grilling. Has a 2 playgrounds (one for small children and the other for bigger kids). I've been coming here since I was a small child. Also enjoyed listening to my grand father tell me about the Indian burial mound. If you go during low tide you can walk the beach and... More

Philippe Park is located on the banks of Old Tampa Bay. It's a fantastic park offering many recreational activities including covered picnic pavilions, walking/biking trail, a boat ramp, tropical gardens and wild life. It's just beautiful!

Very beautiful and scenic! A great place to take a bike ride or long walk. Just bring an umbrella in July and August in case of a flash storm!

Small boat launch site but good parking; $6. (or $2 without a trailer; i.e. kayak) Did not check out park but noted a family able to bike through; nice paths.

Unless you know where it is... you've probably driven by the road that accesses the Phillippe Park many times. Folks who live in Safety Harbor and Clearwater would probably like to keep it that way. Tree-lined and on the upper reaches of Tampa Bay... it's a perfect spot to take a break, especially when the weather cools a bit.
