Great location to take kids fishing. Fishing piers and calm water. Shallows so the kids could see netting bait.

E.G. Simmons is a regional state park located next to Tampa Bay. It's a nice place for a reunion. You can launch a boat, canoe, or kayak. There were any number of people fishing when we were there. You can also camp out in a...More

Campsite was great large and grassy. Not much privacy but the neighbors were fine, mostly, Poor rating is due to two things. NO-SEE-UMS ate us up!! Apparently this is a continual problem, as there is a sign in the rest rooms that states they may...More

Cost $2 for entry per vehicle, but well worth it. Very light crowd on a Thursday, mainly fishermen. Our picnic table was large and covered, with water on two sides. Heard lots of fish jumping, saw Great Blue Heron, Great Egrets, Snowy Egrets, Grey Heron,...More

This is a very large park. Cars cost $3 to get in. There are pavilions for picnicking and so many places to pull off and enjoy the water, whether for fishing, boating, or swimming. We definitely enjoy our time here when we come.

There are no specific swimming areas for adults and while you can swim, we do not as the "beach" is not as nice as others in the area.
