The Military Heritage Museum reminds us that history is all around us. Well represented is the stories of local veterans from colonial times to the War on Terror. Of particular note is the staff of veterans who tell their stories as you visit the exhibits.

You could easily spend hours and hours here taking in all of the exhibits, including informative panels, artifacts, videos, reading materials, etc. It's got a wealth of information for its size. Friendly folks behind the counter - ready to answer any questions, and a small gift shop round out your visit. A must-see for any military history buff or one... More

Thanks to so many volunteers and donors, this is a gem in Punta Gorda. If you miss your own members of the Greatest Generation, here's a place to connect with them and to learn about their lives.

The minute we stepped in the door, we were greeted with friendly conversation and a welcoming spirit. We found the articfacts quite interesting. We spend a lot of time there viewing all the items. It was truely fascinating. We'll be bringing friends here to visit it.

I was surprised to find this museum one of the interesting stops in Fishermen's Village. Lots of information about our soldiers and the their deployments to Vietnam, Korea and World Wll. It is run by our Vets and a worthwhile visit. No charge.
