Savannas is a lovely, natural savanna, but it is definitely not a place for wild excitement or great variation of environment. You ride down a long, winding road through palmetto groves, pine trees and marsh, to an open area surrounded about halfway by a lake....More

I really enjoy the Warriors on the Water Events held at the Savannahs. The Guided Kayak Trips are dependent upon the water level, but even then hardworking and passionate Staff and Volunteers are always there with a Fun and Adventurous alternative day Walk, Hike or...More

I love these parks you find to get away of all the fast lanes of the area. Great views, if your lucky you’ll see some birds, etc.or even alligators. Great place for photos and just some quietness

See Florida the way it was before it was “discovered.” Miles of trails whether in foot, bike, horse, or kayak let you explore as you wish. Add to your life list with birds not found easily unless you travel: Florida scrub jay, anhinga, cormorants, and...More

The area has good hiking trails that can take you all the way to Easy Street, literally. Great canoe launch area usually has lots of birds and other critters around in the low swamp like area. Nice nature center with presentations and exhibits.

Water has been too low for kayaks. Call their office for updates. Don't think they have bike rentals. Try Ironhorse Bike Rentals on Hutchinson Island
