The Cracker Creek people were friendly and knowledgeable. The price for 2 hours of kayaking was very reasonable. My wife thinks the bathrooms are fantastic. They are upgrading things, so we hope they will buy the lighter-weight curved paddles next.

We did a couples river tour on their pontoon boat. It was a great way to see the creek/river and see some alligators along the way. They did caution us that we might not see any, but we saw several. The narration was fun and informative and they kept the pace about right all the way downstream and back.

Live near, enjoy going kayaking down the creek, take my own kayak and pay a small launch fee. Easy paddle with great scenery and a peacock or two waiting for your return. You can also enjoy the Gamble Place name after James N. Gamble (of Procter & Gamble) "A historic home, cottage and Citrus Packing House. "Florida cracker-style" house, named... More

I read about this place in a local magazine. We drove the short distance and found a lovely park where we could rent Kayaks and canoes. We had a lovely 2 hour paddle on a mostly unspoiled creek. We saw birds and fish plus lots of native flora. If you like kayaking and canoeing, this place is a must. PS;... More

We usually take the river cruises for the old taste of Florida. My church group has had our annual picnic there. Much history was made at this site. I am not going to give too much info so people will be curious to visit. Schools groups etc.... Still learning to forward pictures - not sure I can do it.

Sitting along Spruce Creek, this is a great place for canoeing, kayaking or rent an above water "buggy" and pedal up the creek. Rentals available. Pirates give a pontoon tour for children and guides know all about the flora & fauna along the way. Peacocks can usually be seen around the office, a chicken might be nesting on the grounds.... This is great place to reconnect with the way Florida was before massive development. We rented kayaks and paddled up and down Cracker Creek. You can rent canoes and other watercraft as well. We saw a ton of wildlife including lots of turtles hanging out on logs. It was so gorgeous there and you run out of energy before you... More
