Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The shuttle was wonderful unless you have a large party with lots of things for the children that were with us. Just would have the option of the parking for larger groups.

This is my second review regarding Dog poo 😞. What is wrong with dog owners, in the UK you'd be fined for leaving dog poo on the street, never mind on the beach.... The beach is where people come to bask in the warm sunshine.... They bring their families to enjoy the Sandi beaches... They let the kids make sand castles, yet in the same place where they are making sand castles, are large pieces of dog poo.... Disgusting.... Ponte Vedra beaches are some of the nicest beaches on this coastline, smooth sand, right into the water, a decent carpark with toilets and showers, yet ruined in my opinion by lazy pet owners.... What a disgrace... I'll not be keeping quiet anymore, when I see people leaving dog crap, I'll be challenging them....

I went to a wedding on the beach. It was a beautiful and very clean beach. After the wedding we walked the beach. The shells on the sand were so pretty. The atmosphere was peaceful and serene. Plenty of parking and overall friendly beach

Besides being a wide sandy beach just south of Atlantic Beach and north of St. Augustine, Ponte Vedra Beach has the added value of being the go-to place for shark tooth hunters. When the tide is low, exposed shells and sharks teeth abound. Shark tooth hunting is an art but one that most visitors to the area really love!

This beach was not worth the visit. We traveled around Florida in search of beautiful beaches and this one unfortunately was not one of the better ones. Too many shells to walk barefoot, rip tides were observed, and overall very small strip of a beach. I would not return.

Lovely beach, wide, with big tide change. Soft pale sand, dogs allowed, not crowded at all in March. There were no concessions in our area, just Ponte Vedra Lodge and The Inn and Spa a Mile away.

The beach is easy to reach, just down a short path from a roomy parking lot. It was not crowded. The people there were friendly and having fun - this is a place where you can take the kids. We collected sea shells (lots) and sharks' teeth (some). No trash, no loud noise, no commerce. Just a quiet, soothing place.

Compared to other beaches in Florida, Ponte Vedra Beach does not have the beauty of Big Bend beaches or the interest of Miami Beaches. But as the home town beach its excellent. Clean, safe and quiet with solitude within a short walk. Visitors are not exactly welcomed. Access is limited by beachside houses, with public entrances available
but extremely limited parking. The Public parking with rest rooms and showers are located at the South end of Ponte Vedra Blvd. are the best bet if you're not on foot. More parking is available a few miles to the South.

So many shells that stretches of the beach were hard to walk across in bare feet, and when the waves rolled out, the shells made clicking sounds as the bounced off each other
Pretty beach, just not the best for a walk

We love walking along the beach by the Ponte Vedra Inn and looking for shark's teeth. We've been going there for vacations over 30 years.

Where is the best place to purchase beach chairs nearby. We are staying at a resort but I think it would be best to bring our own. Do most grocery stores sell them?

Hello. Where in Ponte Vedra is least affected by the hurricane? Are there such thing as a safer location if I was to relocate there?
Written 20 August 2018
Ponyr Vedra Beach is a relatively small town. A hurricane may be400 miles across across so nowhere is out of the path of a direct hit. I have lived 350 yards from the beach for 21 years and have never had hurricane damage.bring prepared and having an exit strategy is necessary.

Hi William! We used Vacation Quest for our rental. The specific one we used can be found with a quick google search for "Beachfront Paradise" through Vacation Quest.
Hope this helps!
