My wife and I have enjoyed many wonder performances at the Seanger Theater in Pensacola. We were seated in the last rows for the tribute to the Music of John Williams and will be sitting in third row for Mamma Mia. The point being, there is not a bad seat in the theater. The theater was totally remodeled a few... More

Attended The Rides concert in April. Be prepared to go through security before entering. They get you through fairly quickly, so not a big deal, just a sign of the times we live in today. Seating is a little tight with rows pretty close together. The stage is viewable from just about any seat. Plenty of ushers to help with... More

Beautiful theater, easily found and accessible, plenty of surrounding parking in a great area. Cons: upon lining up for entrance they body scan everyone, you open your purse or empty your pockets. I was told I couldn't take in peppermints (in a ziplock in my purse) but I told them I was keeping them for health reasons. They wanted my... More

Saenger Theater, downtown Pensacola, FLA remains a gem in the middle of this active and picturesque seaside city. We recently returned to spend a fabulous night with the musical mastery of one of Canada's finest Troubadours: Gordon Lightfoot. He's knocking on his 80th birthday door and his voice is softer and thinner than it once was but he loves doing... More

The theater is lovely. However we were greeted with metal detecting wands. The crowd was noisy and talked all during the opening act. There was a 30 minute intermission before Nora Jones started. They didn't blink the lights so then people were hurrying in with their drinks while she was singing. They don't have side aisles. So everyone has to... More

Thank you for your review of the Saenger Theatre. Unfortunately, wanding and bag searches are becoming a standard practice in performance venues and it's truly for the safety of our guests. For all performances, we do flash the lights five minutes prior to a show starting or an intermission ending. The challenge with Norah Jones is that people ignored the... More

Went to see 'Chicago'. It was wonderful. The theater is very nice. Good view from the balcony, nice restrooms, helpful and friendly staff. Places to eat still open after the play. Looking forward to my next trip.

This was our first trip to the theatre here. We were excited to watch Chicago. I enjoyed the performance immensely however there were several pros and cons to this particular theatre. Pros: there aren't too many bad seats in the theatre. We were off center from the stage but still had a pretty clear view of most of the act.... More

Thank you for feedback. The sound was handled by the show rather than the Theatre so I can't respond to that part of your review. To answer you comments about the seating and renovation needs, our theatre was renovated in 2009. The seating went from an average of 15" wide per seat to an average of 18" per seat. The... More

Gorgeous, incredible theater! The security was great & efficient, & we were greeted by outstanding & kind staff once inside. Pat, an usher, was so dear & fun to be around while we waited for my husband to park & join us. We'd purchased concert tickets & backstage passes for Miranda Sing's meet & greet months prior to her show... More

Julie, Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. We have already had discussions with our volunteer staff regarding non-traditional events such as this and will certainly use your comments for upcoming training opportunities. While some of our greatest accomplishments come from receiving good reviews of the Theatre, we appreciate those that take the time to report areas in... More

Great acoustics, nice sight lines and comfy seats. Saw the Pensacola Opera's AIDA here and it was tremendous. Just big enough but still feels intimate.

This small, but lovely, theater in Pensacola is a little gem. We've attended a few performances here (Alton Brown, So You Think You Can Dance, and The Nutcracker) and have been pleased each time. The sound is great, and I haven't yet found a seat that had a bad view. It is in an area that I feel safe walking... More
