I went for a hike here back in October. It was really hot and sunny, and I hadn't thought to bring a hat. I did bring water, which was a good decision. I saw smaller wildlife: insects, frogs, snakes. I was there mainly for birds, which I did see, but there wasn't a large variety. Just luck. So many butterflies,... More

This free public park has a 9.5 mile loop trail and several interconnecting trails within. The trails within this park connect to Gayle’s Trails, so if you are a biker, you could probably make a whole day of it. The trails are well marked, and there are a few map kiosks. The loop is mostly gravel, with some sandy areas... More

The park is a large chunk of old lumbering/turpentine plantation being reclaimed as semi-wetland via recycling of wastewater (that was previously dumped into the lagoon). Nicer than that sounds--the water is of course thoroughly cleansed first. Not much wildlife during our visit in mid March, but lots of well-marked trails to walk, including considerable stretches of boardwalk. I suspect it... More

nice to know Florida is working to recycle water to keep this park growing. Learned a lot about how the trees are kept growing.

Nice hiking trails and facilities. Be careful walking as there are many roots and opportunities for tripping.

It was a nice place to walk, but, did not see much in the way of wildlife. We went twice and both times I struck out on getting any wildlife photos.

This park was wonderful for our walks. It is well maintained and trails are marked well. You can walk or bike through the trails. You can do a short walk or long. Trails are marked to show how long they are.

Conservation park is located away from the tourist areas. The park has several trails for walking and biking in a nature preserve. A way to get in some exercise while enjoying the outdoors.

Several trails to choose from depending on your distance abilities. Nice short trail to a really long one for the advanced walker. Beautiful scenery. Even good for those who like riding bicycles. Picnic area, if you bring a snack. Clean restrooms.

Nice place to get some exercise with your dog. There were trails of all lengths but the parking lot is a bit small. We had a nice hike for Florida. Let's face it Florida hiking is not too exciting.
