Waupoos Estates Winery sits majestically on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Lake Ontario in beautiful Prince Edward County. The Winery offers an array of wines at the Tasting room, shopping in the Boutique and Dining in the full service Gazebo Restaurant. The first vineyards were planted in the mid 90's. The new vines were allowed time to mature. Proudly opening the doors to the public in 2001 with the first vintage.

This place is very strange - candy and children's things right next to alcohol. Really more of a circus feel than a winery. Parking is across the road and very dangerous to cross. Staff not very knowledgeable about their products. Wine not a good as...More

We visited the winery mid-afternoon on a sunny Tuesday. We skipped the tastings, bought Gelato for the teens, then headed down to the patio for a glass of wine and a stroll around the vineyard. There are benches along the lake but best for only...More

Food was superb, service was great, ambiance was relaxing, wine was interesting. A short (2km) walk from Waupoos Marina. A must do for any visiting sailor. Well worth the walk. Casual dress.

Make no mistake, when people recommend visiting Waupoos for their view, they are dead right. Overlooking the lake, the site of the winery is fantastic and the winery has been great at capitalizing on it. As a venue, it certainly looks top notch. However, having...More

This was probably my second favourite winery of the 10+ that we visiting over the weekend. They had a huge selection of wine, being the largest vineyard in the county. Despite that, they didn't feel like a large winery. There is a nice walk out...More
