This preserve seems to have just about everything, including alligators, beach, mangroves, trails and boardwalks. Excellent for sail-boarders too. And it is free entry too. It sticks out into Tampa Bay, and has great views all around.

We love to hike, fish and watch sunsets from here. We have been coming here for 15 years! The best sunsets around!

Beautiful, natural place in little discovered Palmetto, FL, not to be missed. Forget the Disney lines and neon lights advertising a bunch of nonsense; leave your tech devices behind and just enjoy the quiet, nature, water, birds--natural environment of the West Coast of Florida!

Though not officially a dog beach, if you go to the tip of Emerson Point and walk to the left, you will find several inlets with beaches where you can let your dog swim. Hikers, particularly families walk by, so this is not a place...More

This is a rather long peninsular preserve area that has a lovely board walk along the Sunshine Skyway bridge view side, with plenty of opportunities to see the Osprey nests, fish jumping in the bay and other wildlife. It's however very warm quite early in...More
