A great place for a picnic. There are numerous picnic tables and elaborate barbecue pits made out of stone. on Saturday the day we were there there was a couple that played music on guitars. They have rental canoes and kayaks, a Nature Center and numerous camping sites. There are numerous hiking trails of varying lengths. There is a small... More

We went here for our daily walk on the chance we might see some eagles and we did. The problem was that the trail markers were either missing, no help or non existing. We came to a T in the road with no directions at all. We had to guess which way to go. We came to other areas where... More

We went to the concert in the park on Saturday afternoon and were very pleased with the experience. Bill and (wife?) Isles performed very entertaining folky music. They are there every weekend during the winter. A very pleasant venue!! There are also nice grounds and trails to walk or bike. We'll definitely return.

We were hoping to see more wildlife but had an enjoyable walk anyways. It would help to have knowledgeable volunteers to guide people on which walks to take, as there are many options.

We tent camped for one night. The facilities were clean and there were plenty of them. Each site offers a picnic table, water, laundry line, and fire pit with a grate for grilling. Firewood is available at the ranger station as well as canoes and kayak (single and tandem) for rent per hour.

A small but very authentic park that shows exactly how natural Florida was in the 19 th century. The park has a few interesting trails, but has a number of night concerts and presentations in its pavilion.

This place offers so much for so little. Gorgeous location in Osprey that is packed with exotic local birds. Small entrance fee or a FL State Park Pass gets you in. Get your camera ready & go!

Asked the ranger upon entering where the best riding was and she steered us int eh right direction. Never have we seen so many birds so close up. A little less crowded than some of the other hikes--you almost feel like you have the trails to yourself! We spent a truly wonderful hiking day here and will be back on... More

Friendly helpful staff and volunteers throughout the park. Campsites offer some privacy. Bathrooms very clean. Great access to nearby bike trail and beaches. We loved it here. Walmart a few miles away with plenty of restaurants nearby.
