This is a free park that's enjoyable all seasons and is great for all ages. There's a strolling path, wide grass areas for flying a kite or throwing a frisbee, great views of the Halifax River (Intracoastal Waterway) where you can watch motor boats, kayaks, sail boats and luxury yachts go by, and if you're feeling spry, walk across the... After a few busy days with children stop here for time out. Located on the Halifax River, there's a playground for the kids, a dock to fish from, a walk under the bridge to the Casements, where you can tour for free, History was made here. Find out by touring. If you are here for sunset, you may see dolphins... More

We followed the sidewalk along the intercostal that led us to this great little park. Our kids were thrilled to see the playground. We spent a good hour here. There were other children playing in the water and on the sandy beach here. It was towards sunset, it was very peaceful here and we enjoyed the scenery very much.

We stopped here for some family pictures. It's a small, well kept area. There is a small pier with a pavilion on the end, that gives a nice view of the water, and has people fishing off of. It is not a place I would spend hours at, but its worth stopping for the view.

Loved this park for the sunset pictures because of a few exotic trees on the other side of the inner coastal makes it perfect.

This is a nice little park, plenty of grassy area, nice pier into the river with a gazebo, benches to sit on and bathrooms. Lovely place to watch a sunset and frequently dolphins.

Nice park to take a leisurely stroll along the water. Park also features a pier out to a gazebo that was being used to fish from and people just hanging out watching the water go by. Benches are provided and "clean-up stations" for the folks that like to take their dogs for a morning walk through the park. Located at... More

Take a leisure stroll along the Halifax river and enjoy the ample supply of water fowl and marine life (even talk to the fishermen/women). Set while and relax while nature works it's wonders.

I go there daily to walk my dog as do many others. They have poop bags available. The toilets were being renivated to day but they thoughtfully had portopotties there. I noticed that workers frequently stop by to use the restrooms - very convenient for them. This is a lovely spot in our town.
