Living just 3 blocks from Lake Ivanhoe since 1974, I haven't really thought much about the lake in visitor terms, but if I were to do so, it would easy, for there's much to recommend... from "Antique Row" stores, Rock 'n' Roll Heaven and funky shops to the long established eateries such as The Greek Corner and White Wolf and... The "neighborhood" isn't trying to be anything other than itself. With a mix of quirky retail near traditional housing and boasting its multi-lobe lake, the "Ivanhood" is perfect for strolling, shopping, and indulging. Parking can be at a premium in this area but worth finding a spot. Couple cool antique stores, great restaurants in the area facing the lake or near the lake. Good bars in the area full of locals. Lake is big enough for water craft.

We spent an afternoon visiting the antique stores in the Lake Ivanhoe district. My favorite was the Carousel Emporium across from Lake Ivanhoe.
