Spectacular Nightly Fireworks Display at the Magic Kingdom
Nightly fireworks show that takes place above Cinderella's castle at the Magic Kingdom. Although I miss its predecessor Wishes, which I thought had much better music, Happily Ever After is still spectacular and includes amazing projections onto the front of the castle. Best viewed from Main Street or from the central hub area. You're going to miss quite a bit if you try to watch from one of the "lands". If the fireworks are a high priority for you, you will want to stake out the best positions about 1 hour before the start. Look for the tape on the sidewalks and find a place where no one can block your view. Disney cast members don't mess around letting anyone stand in those marked off areas. You may find something reasonably good up to 30 min before the start but after that you will be scrambling. I personally find the fireworks an excellent time to hop on some high demand rides like Big Thunder as wait times drop when everyone is pulled away for the show.

    Mind-blowing
As your typical grumpy, cynical middle aged man it really surprised me to say that this was phenomenal and an absolute highlight of our trip to Orlando's parks Its a spectacular display of fireworks and projections that really encapsulated the whole Disney experience for me and my family. My two girls (10 and 4 years old ) loved every moment of our time and the Happily Ever After display capped everything off. A must-see.

    Wonderful Show
This fireworks show was awesome. It was my favorite nighttime show in the parks. The music is stirring, the fireworks are great, and the castle projections are beautiful. There are also projections on the buildings along main street. All together it makes an amazing experience. It's definitely worth seeing, don't miss it!

Sight to Behold Amidst the Chaos
Lots of park goers . Long walk stretches from one pavilion to another while enduring the heat. It is summertime in Florida, and it is quite hot indeed. After the long lines waiting for your preferred ride , comes the icing on the cake, the lovely enticing fireworks. Enjoy admiring its beauty , recording the thrill of sight and sound with your smartphones. After which the struggle to go back faster. Take the ferries, it felt more convenient instead of the monorails unless you have a specific Disney hotel as a destination or return point .

    Still great
Did this in august 24 with family .. got into the park late and after doing the tron ride we went to watch the fireworks which start at 9-20 pm . The crowds are massive and if you don’t get near to the castle reasonably early it’s just a lottery if you get a good view . We got there thirty mins early , it was massively busy by then but we got close to Main Street and had a good view. The display is really good and worth seeing once. I saw wishes many years ago and it’s probably better this time round ..

    Delivers against (very high) expectations!
Have visited Disney in multiple occasions, but had never stayed for the fireworks. Firstly, it's amazing how much prettier Magic Kingdom is at night. The combination of the festive environment + the fact that the darkness hides some of the more "dated" aspects of MK make it a very enjoyable sight to see. The reduced crowds are also a plus. When it comes to the fireworks, I was wondering if they would be able to live up to the hype. And they sure did!! Together with HP Wizarding World (which comes in #1), this one of the few true musts when visiting the Florida parks.

    Great experience
The fireworks are amazing. It gets crowded quickly so you have to find a good spot at least 2 hours before the show. The best spots are closer to the castle but further back Main Street is okay but there will probably being taller people blocking you. The advantage of being further back is a quicker exit out of the park when the show is done.

How to Watch the Fireworks Show
The crowd for the fireworks show was huge when we visited Magic Kingdom on a peak weekend. My friend insisted that we had to see the castle projections up close. Almost two hours before the fireworks show, we secured a "front row" unobstructed view of the castle in the area between the front pit at the foot of the castle stage and the Mickey and Walt Disney statue. During the fireworks show, Disney cast members keep clear pathways that cut through the crowd. Position yourself on these marked pathways (marked by paint or tape), so that no one will stand in front of you - no tall park guests or guests holding their children on their shoulders will block your view. Also - do not stand in the closed-in area directly in front of the castle. The area is too close to the front to enjoy the full panoramic view of the fireworks behind the castle. Even where we stood, it was too close to really appreciate the fireworks. My friend said the best place to view the fireworks show was near the Mickey - Walt Disney statue but on the day we visited, that area was full of projection and entertainment equipment. Worst is that at around 1/2 hour before the fireworks show, the Disney cast members asked all of us to stand up - we watched everyone in the pit area being pushed forward to make room for the latecomers who stood behind them. So now guests who had staked their position 2-3 hours had a worse view of the castle and were packed even more tightly in that area. The fireworks program really is an incredible show that was much more than just fireworks. Would we ever do this again? Probably not but if the fireworks show is on the top of your list, hopefully these tips might make the experience more enjoyable.

Our family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited Disney World for two weeks holiday in October.

We found our spot about an hour before the show on the corner outside the Plaza Ice Cream Parlour where they rope off Main Street just before the 'hump' towards the Castle. It meant that no one stood directly in front of us which was great for our kids as the Cast Members kept the space clear between our section and the back of the 'hump' section.

The show was spectacular and well worth the wait. As well as the fireworks, the projections were great. Although we watched it back online to see the detail close up. We felt that being too close to the Castle means you don't see the full fireworks up in the sky as you're almost too close. But perhaps those on the 'hump' got a better view of the projections.

Our spot meant that as soon as the show ended, we had a good run towards Tomorrowland and we watched Monsters Laughing Floor and went on the People Mover to let the crowds quieten down before we left Magic Kingdom back to our resort.

Enjoy!

My family of 8 (6 adults/2 children) were in the park from rope drop until the fireworks. The fireworks displayed on the castle were spectacular and all of us were in awe. The finale included Tinkerbelle ziplining from the castle to another tower and our 3 year old talked about it for the rest of our trip. The music playing in the background from various Disney movies brought back memories for us seniors and the fireworks were an added bonus. Well worth waiting to see this show. Guaranteed you will not see this firework display anywhere else in the U.S.

Highly recommend!! This is one of those Disney experiences everyone should take in while in Magic Kingdom. If you are with a group or family you do have to get to the castle early to find a nice spot. Being alone you can get there right before it starts and find a space in between people. The 50th celebration fireworks are awesome! Angela Bassett narrates, Tinker Bell flies over the crowd, and the visuals are stunning. And if you stand on the side closest to Space Mountain you can speed walk to the ride after it's over and miss those longer wait times.

We arrived from dinner at the Polynesian Resort with the intent of taking up a place to watch the evening fireworks. Start time was still over an hour away, and there were no viewing places to be found. Crowds were packed in and people had spread picnic blankets - and this was supposedly a slow week since it was the week after Thanksgiving! The viewing place we had previously scouted was now blocked by cast members as reserved. If you want to be sure to see the fireworks without spending 2-3 hours standing in place, I definitely recommend paying for the reserved standing room only spots.

We planned to watch the fire works from the end of main street in order not to be caught in the crowds after the show. With the previous show, Wishes, the fireworks could be enjoyed from this vantage point. Unfortunately, with so many images being projected on the castle we were too far away to see them with any clarity. The only really prime place to watch the show is directly in front of the castle. With the volume of people watching the fireworks Disney needs to figure out more vantage spots to be able to see them. Having the massive crowds only able to get he full experience from directly in front of the castle is not feasible. Disney needs to keep the park open longer after the fireworks so that everyone isn't attempting to leave the park at the same time.

Want to see a grown man cry? Come with me to see Happily Ever After. This show of music, fireworks, and lights/projections may have changed my life. No. Seriously. This show makes me think more about life, love, and optimism. There has never been a better way to end a day at a theme park than seeing this show.
*gone for a bit - but it will be BACK in 2023!

Leave it as fireworks so people can watch around the park. Tooooooooo many people crammed in front of the castle and no one can see the show. Hotter then heck and then put basically the whole park on top of each other is just a bad idea. I'm 5'-10" and could only see half the castle and my 10 year daughter could see none of it, both on the verge of passing out we got out of there. She loves Tiana but if can't see it what's the point. Took advantage of shorter lines on the rides.

Absolutely the most magical experience I’ve even had at Disney! Reserved seats with a perfect view of the castle while you relax and enjoy adorable desserts, wine and an amazing fireworks display. I’m so happy we decided to do this! Seriously, just book this! Here’s the scoop
* Arrived at 6:45 (7:00 start) and there was a small line. We had no problem getting a table and saw no evidence of people waiting in line for a great seat
* There is an overhang in some areas, but no way that could obstruct your view. Honestly I don’t think there is a bad seat
* Small open bar with some wine, champagne and beer selections and it’s included in the price. Bar closes at 8 when fireworks start
* Dessert bar includes adorable and delicious desserts alongside fruit, cheeses and spinach dip. A nice variety of things I didn’t see everywhere else
* The view is amazing!
* After fireworks, they clean up, but let you stay for the post fireworks castle show. It was a nice way to let the crowds clear

Deciding between seated and standing view? Spend the extra for seated. The folks with garden and standing view had their dessert party at the back of the restaurant, so they likely didn’t have a good view of pre- firework festivities. At firework time, they were able to move to the landing (standing) to view fireworks. Likely a completely different experience that isn’t worth saving a few dollars

The fireworks are well done and I highly recommend staying to see them; even if you have small children. Unfortunately you have to find your spot early, or you might end up looking at the fireworks through trees that mar the view. They mark areas on the ground to keep passages for people to circulate around, but that does limit the best views. Go early enough to get a good spot and you will not be disappointed.

The fireworks and laser projections on Cinderella's Castle were spectacular and lasted about 20 minutes. Toward the very end, Tinkerbell traveled on a guideline from the top of the Castle across the square to a building located in Tomorrowland. The crowd, and my family group of 10 ended our Magic Kingdom visit in grand Disney style..
