Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visiting for the 4th of July at my fiances, g-ma house we went fishing on the lake and had a great time. The fish were plentiful and easy to catch, there are nice size bass and crappies to catch (don't worry we left some for you). The water is very refreshing and clean. Many people just run there boats and jet skis out in the lake. The scenery from the water is beautiful especially on a good weather day. If you love to jet ski or wakeboard or even just run your boat this is a great place to spend your day. Bring your swimwear, sunscreen, fishing gear and water vessel if you have one, and what the heck bring your kids too.lol.ha. j/k.

Lake Conway is huge and so many interesting places surrounding it. The best part is it's beauty! Part of the lake has large classic old style homes that are beautifully decorated in December.

We've been skiing, tubing, and waverunning on this chain of lakes for many years. The water is very clean, the lakes are large enough to be able to do your thing while not being crowded. We prefer the north two (called North Lake Conway and Little Lake Conway) for learning to ski, tube, and just exercise the boat. A short canal under the Hoffner bridge gets us to Big Lake Conway, and another bridge under Nela Avenue gets us to South Lake Conway. There used to be a gas station off of this lake, where you can carry your can to get more gas, but don't know if it is still there (no on-water refueling). All the lakes are big enough to have room to move, but not so big that they get affected by the weather (although Big Lake can get choppy in a windstorm).
Little-known - there is a very shallow canal that leads to Lake Gatlin from the North Lake Conway, which is a nearly perfectly round but smaller lake, good for learning to ski, as it is usually much less-used. Listen to the locals for shallow spots, there are a few. The marine patrol is on this chain so it keeps the traffic in check.
Best to access via the private ramps if you happen to live there or know someone, as there is only the one (that I know of ) public ramp on Hoffner just east of Orange Avenue, accessing North Lake.

We had an awesome time boating on Lake Conway! The water is very shallow and crystal clear in some areas. Beautiful scenery and decent fishing!

Very peaceful. Can't believe it is in Orlando. Feels like you are in one of the Caribbean island. Great for fishing and water activities.
There are several public ramps around.

I am new to the area, Not Belle Isle and would like to drive to Big Lake Conway Please give me directions off of Hoffner. I know most are homes, so how does someone get access to the lake?
