    What a magical experience
It's not surprise The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is ranked No.1 attraction in Orlando, you don't have to be a Harry Potter fan to love this section of the park. We started on Diagon Alley were you can ride Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, this is a 3D ride that takes you on a lovely adventure. We then caught the Hogwart's Express over to the second section of the Harry Potter experience, once here we saw Hogwart's castle and got to ride on Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure. In this section of the park, we also got to try a glass of Butterbeer, very nice but quite sickly so we shared ours. This was a lovely part of the park and took up a few hours of our day, but well worth it.
Hi there. Thank you for sharing your review. I am so happy to hear that you enjoyed your visit, and that you got to experience some of our wonderful attractions! Aren't the treats across Universal Orlando Resort just delicious? I hope you will check out Bake My Day at Minion Land on Illumination Avenue during your next visit, the cupcakes and macaroons are just delicious! Please come see us again soon. - Victoria

Immersed in Harry Potter and Loved it!
Our last day of the conference was only a partial day, so decided to take in some of Universal Studios. Enjoyed some butter beer, a little sweet for me, had some bangers at The Leak Cauldron, and went on Hagrid's Motorcycle ride. Loved every moment of the shops and park! Total Harry Potter Geek Here!
Hi Diane! We appreciate your review! We look forward to seeing you again soon, and I suggest enjoying our newest attraction, Illumination’s Villain-Con Minion Blast, over at Universal Studios Florida on your next visit! - Emily

    Absolute heaven for Potterheada
The Wizarding world part (as well as the others) of Universal studios is so incredibly detailed, no part is left out. Even the restrooms are part of the magic. Lines for the newest attraction (Hagrids forbidden forest) are insane and if you dont have early access or Express pass prepare for 80-120min wait. We managed to get there early in the morning and still waited for 35min. As its usual for all the WW new attraction the lines are long, which made it so much shorter line for my favorite ride in the Hogwarts castle. Was disappointed that they stopped selling Pumpkin juice in bottles though.
Hi there. Thank you so much for your review. I am so happy that you continue to enjoy your visits. However, I do apologize for any disappointment regarding attraction wait times and the availability of the item you mentioned. Please be assured that your feedback has been formally documented and will be reviewed by the proper leadership teams. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the theming throughout the lands. Aren't the details throughout the attraction queues and merchandise locations just amazing? Make sure you check out Marvel Superhero Island during your next visit, it is just as immersive! Please come visit us again soon. - Victoria

    Perfect for HP hardcore fans
My daughter (age 10) wanted to see the HP themed Diagon Alley, the Hogwarts Express and Hogsmead, so off we went. Pro tip: Christmas Day is a great day to visit, hardly any queues. We did all three, rode three times in the train, spent more money on wands than I spent on my first car, and enjoyed the ride in Hogwarts school. It’s all very well done and the rides are state of the art. By the end of the week the holiday crowds had moved in and you can hardly move in the parks so be prepared to queue for all the above. If HP and rides are your thing this will be heaven, if you don’t mind crowds, standing, and queueing.
Hi there! Thank you so much for taking the time to leave this review. It's so wonderful to hear you enjoyed my favorite area of the park, as well as that you were able to experience our attractions with minimal waits. Hopefully you were able to check out all of the details throughout the attraction queues, as they help bring everything to life! We can't wait to welcome you back again soon. -Samantha

    Out of this MUGGLE world!!
Ok, I will admit it, I never finished all the movies, but I did read all the books. I have to say, the whole experience was indeed worth a full day, and all the way through the holiday light show as well. I was even able to get a new wand (and of course test it out at all the designated locations) It really is a wonderful experience even if you have not seen all the movies. And the rides - OUT OF THIS MUGGLE WORLD!!!
Hi Kat! We appreciate your review! Thanks for spending the day with us - it's great to hear you enjoyed your visit! We look forward to seeing you again soon, and I suggest enjoying Universal Volcano Bay on your next time! - Emily

Had the best time ever! A must if you're a harry potter fan!
Absolutely fantastic! Being a huge Harry potter fan myself I loved every single minute from both universal and islands of adventure. Diagon alley was my favourite. The theming absolutely unreal I was so happy! Are at both 3 broomsticks and leaky cauldron we had a laugh at the 'English breakfast' but ate it and was tasty.if you are British....it's not a brekkie I'm warning you now ha. It's expensive but you get so wrapped up in it all you don't care honestly! I spent 90 dollars on a jumper from Scotland when I could've gone to Scotland at home ha but who cares! It was so much fun! Absolutely brilliant definitely worth the visit can't wait to one day go back again!

    Amazing 🎉🎉🎉
I went here with my family to have fun and for vacation and it was a amazing place. I am a HUGE fan of Harry Potter and it was just so amazing. It was so realistic! I got a wand and a robe and it was like I was a wizard for real. The lines were long but definitely worth it and the butter beat was amazing the ride I suggest is Hagrid’s Motorcycle we waited more than a hour for a 3 minute ride but trust me, you don’t want to miss it.

    Wonderful, full-size recreations
Universal does an amazing job of recreating the movie sets from the Harry Potter movies. The crowds detract from the experience as does the relentless push to sell you some tchotchke or other, but worth a visit if you have Harry Potter lovers along. Gringotts ride is sort of a Spiderman ride knock off, but shorter and not as good. The Hogwarts Express was broken half the day and then the waits were 90 minutes and up....

Great fun! I’m a real scaredy cat when it comes to roller coasters and very nearly bottled it on this one. Thank you so much to the amazing team members who went above and beyond to get me on the ride. On a side note, the 60 minute wait ended up being only 35 minutes.

All things Harry Potter at Universal
We spent a day at Universal studios exploring all things Harry Potter. Day was amazing. Park and facilities are clean. Staff looked happy and very helpful and friendly. Food at leaky cauldron and three broomstick was great and we had 2 rounds of butter beer! It's worth the money. We had a wonderful stress free day!

Due to the new "virtual line" you will be discriminated against if you do not have a smartphone. Basically the people who are the richest with the fastest phone are the only ones that will be able to ride the new Hagrid ride. We talked to a family in line who all had the new Iphones and they were able to go on the ride multiple times because they reserved spots for their whole family on their different phones. Meanwhile I've gone to the park, paid for parking every time, and haven't been able to go on. If you call to give a review they say the best they can do is tell you is to go during the week (impossible for working families, I'm a teacher), get there early (I've done this every weekend I've gone), and keep refreshing the app (really takes away from the fun of universal to have to be staring at your phone constantly refreshing, just for you to never be able to get on the ride). I've been to Universal/IOA 5 times since this ride open and still have never been able to ride this ride because of the "Virtual line". I've had to pay $26 every time for parking, but if you tell Universal that their only option is "pay us more money for a more expensive pass that includes parking, then you can come up here more often, but you still may not get on the ride" I don't mind waiting 2+ hours to ride a ride I really want to ride. It's absolutely heartbreaking to not be able to get on the ride because your poor and don't have a good enough phone so they won't let you even get in line.

I called guest services to try to understand better how the line works and the lady I spoke to Mikayla was so rude, in the middle of me talking about my experience she cut me off and said "Well if you let me finish I can tell you my tips (what I listed above)" Basically she didn't want to hear any feedback about the park, only read a script she is told to read to the customers. I asked to speak to someone else and she said she is capable of getting my message to others. I don't know how she plans to do that since she wouldn't even listen to my experience. I always loved Universal, but there current virtual line system, rude employees (some are very nice, but some are extremely rude), and lack of customer service (they used to be much better).

This attraction is a must! The experience is like no other and worth the wait. A tip for future travelers the best thing you can do is get to the park first thing in the morning and get in line for this attraction first. You cannot take any items in with you such as purses or bags so you will be prompted to go to the lockers that are right next to the attraction. The cost for the locker is $2.00 and you can pay using your debit card. I would not recommend this attraction for children under 6 yrs old. Overall experience was awesome!

Visited during the virus pandemic hearing and being assured that safety and health precautions would be in place. However that was not the case. I was one of very few wearing a face covering; people were not following one way traffic lanes and crowds were milling around haphazardly. Harry Potter area was packed with people not behaving responsibly so I did not feel comfortable enough to even walk in any stores or down any alleys. Attraction Lines were long and winding right down the middle of the walkways with people walking back and forth. I was disappointed that once I finally got to visit, I felt too crowded and not at all safe from the many others who were not practicing social distancing or mask wearing. So I quickly glanced around, took a few pictures while trying to hold my breath and avoid running into people and moved on to a different area. Was not a good experience at all. Workers were not attempting to correct issues either. Don’t go now! Wait until later if you are at all concerned about your own health or your family’s well being. Hand sanitizer was not available in many areas. Some wipes at food/eating stands.

We have been annual pass holders to universal for the past 5 years. We obviously love the place and particularly Harry Potter’s world. We live in Florida and try to go 3-4 times a year. We used to be able to go in January and have some reprieve from the tourist crowds. No more. We are on our way home now and while we did manage to do most of the rides (express passes of course) the Hagrids ride was a 70 minute wait. We tried several times over 3 days to get on with shorter wait time but could not. The line is frustrating because people walk by (in the single rider line) when the single rider line is not open. We asked if we could go single rider and were told no several times throughout the line. When we finally reached the front of the line we found a single rider line up!?!? Many people waiting in line were frustrated, need to work on that universal! Need to entertain more in this line, offer water, have a bathroom accessible, show Harry Potter videos -do more. Also was disappointed with the locker fee, really!?! $300 tickets and you charge for lockers to go on rides? Anyway hagrids IS an awesome ride but will NEVER wait that long again. Hopefully universal will figure it out.

They did a fantastic job making this very realistic and fun! Felt like we were definitely in wizarding world. If you want to see all of Harry Potter at Universal, you'll need to buy tickets for both parks (and that's the only way to ride the Hogwarts Express). Makes it very expensive, but we felt it was worth it after having enjoyed it.

Absolutely amazing! Totally worth the cost and a must do! Great for both kids and adults! They did a fantastic job or capturing the details from books and movies and making them come alive! It was my husband and I and we lived it. The rides were awesome and you felt like you were really part of the adventure! Long wait times sometimes so but express passes or at least be sure to use the universal app to watch the edit times and get to the rides when they are low ! Must buy 2 park..park to park passes to ride hogwarts express and will at least need 2 park to do HP on both parks !

Ok, so 1 star is a little extreme. There are many wonderful things about the sets created for Wizarding World- especially Hogwart’s Castle itself, but universal Studios doesn’t come close to creating the magic that Disney does.

First off, Universal suckers you into buying 2 park passes to go to WW even if you could care less about the other parts of the park. Hulk coaster. No thanks.

Wizarding World should be it’s own park with one park entry and 4 times the size. It would make much more sense so they wouldn’t have to break the magic of HP.

But of course Universal figured out a way to make you pay double the price of Disney for a tiny theme park. There are only 4 rides at WW and it’s very small! I can think of dozens of missed opportunities! How is there not a ride with Ron’s flying car or the forbidden forest or ministry of magic? Or the Dursleys?

Especially when you’re squished into diagon alley with 10,000 other people and waiting in 2-3 hour lines. It’s thievery really. And we went on a weekday in October so it was “less crowded”. I literally can’t imagine peak season.

For my family of 4 I paid an extra $600 for the “express” pass to skip the lines. What a joke. We still had to wait 30-60 minutes per ride since they clearly oversold the express passes. They need to limit those! There were so many angry people in lines.

Also, we paid for an expensive hotel, arrived at rope drop for early park admission and by the time we walked to the Hagrids ride at the back of the park the wait was already 2 hours so we had to skip it. Insane!

Universal parks should be ashamed of themselves. These people save for months/years to be able to afford a $2000+ day and it’s crowded, claustrophobic and disappointing to the biggest Harry Potter fans.

Hi James. Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear of any disappointment regarding your visit. It is never our intention to disappoint or inconvenience our Guests, and I sincerely apologize if your visit did not reflect these values. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed the atmosphere of our park. The Universal Express Pass is designed to reduce the wait time by approximately half. This means there still may be a wait during busier times of year, though it would be significantly reduced in comparison to the posted wait time. I apologize if this information was not properly presented to you. I am also sorry to hear of your disappointment regarding our ticket prices. We strive to provide our Guests with a superior entertainment experience at prices that are competitive with similar attractions in the area, and I sincerely apologize for any disappointment. Please be assured that your feedback has been formally documented, and will be reviewed by the proper leadership teams. We would like to hear more from you. At your convenience, please contact our Guest Services Team at 407-224-4233, or GuestServices@universalorlando.com and reference your review username. I went with my 11 year old son mid August. We went mid week thankfully as when we left on a Saturday I could tell just at my hotel how packed it was going to be! My advice is to get there early. We were in the Dockside hotel so we had early access. We were on the bus by seven and in line by 730. We entered the park at eight when it opened and although there were still hundreds of people entering at this time we were able to go straight on the Hagrid roller coaster and also the Harry Potter Forbidden Journey ride.

I generally am a scaredy-cat and don't like roller coasters but my son begged me to go on the Hagrid ride with him. The first time I was petrified, it is really fast but the second time I just enjoyed it knowing what was coming. The harry potter forbidden journey was not for me. Anyone who gets carsick and seasick like I do will feel really sick and dizzy on this ride. My son thought it was OK but I had to close my eyes for at least half of it.

Because we got there at the opening time we were able to go on both rides straight away. If you get there after lunch or even after 9ish you will have to join long lines on the virtual app for the Hagrid ride.

The rest of the Harry Potter world was pretty cute but not mind blowing. My son was not that interested in the virtual wand part. We saw lots of people trying to use them but they didn't always work well. They cosy $59 each and honestly I think you can do the wizarding world without them. We went to the Olivander store where they choose one child and go through a little wand skit. It was a bit boring and of course it's all about buying the wand at the end.

The butter beer is not cheap, but r got a the frozen one and it was delicious. If you don't get it early in the day or late at night there will be long lines. We went into the Three Broomsticks and didn't have to queue, but we didn't love the menu so we left.

On our last night we went into the park around 8 PM. My son was excited to go on the roller coasters and didn't have to wait too long and then around 845 we went back over to Hogwarts to see the light show on the castle which was really special.

We got the Hogwarts express a few times back-and-forth from the parks and never had to wait more than a few minutes. They show in the train is different in both ways so it's worth taking it both ways.

Overall it was really fun, but there isn't that much to do outside the 3 rides. The Flight of the Hippogriff ride is just an old fashioned and pretty lame rollercoaster. The other 2 rides are pretty cool and that is it. Walking around is fun for a little while but then you realize you have seen it all pretty quickly.

Boy did we love our time in WWHP! Hogsmeade was packed with people pretty much all day except the first 30min or so and the last 90min or so (on April hours). Diagon Alley was also busy but is a bigger space so we didn't feel as crammed in. So, we tried our best to go early and late to enjoy the less busy times. Casting spells is SO fun and we went three times a day to do just this. Looking in shop windows and shopping, taking in the scenes from HP was very magical. We recommend the castle light show and Tales of Beedle the Bard shows at least once. Get some mail postmarked at the Owl Post, pick a wand (or have one pick you!), try butterbeer of all kinds and just enjoy the scenery. Come with an express pass if you want to do any rides without long waits. This place is very busy and popular but that's because it is SO rad.
