Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The convention center is huge. Was here to watch grandson play in volleyball tournament. Good venue for tournament. Do not count on elevator working if you have a physical disability, had to go down approximately 40 outside steps one by one with a death grip on handrail. Signage for parking is extremely poor and attendants are less than helpful. Concessions are grossly overpriced. Bring your own as $4.50 for a bottle of water is totally uncalled for.

This convention Center is one of the worst ones I’ve been to. The parking is horrible and very unorganized! The attendees did not know what they were doing! They would block parts of the lot in different areas all day long! Confusing everyone! The concessions were a rip off! The North Concourse had lower prices than the South Concourse. They were charging completely different pricing for stuff at the same companies. Everyone who worked the concessions spoke other languages except English! The bathrooms were not clean! Very disappointed in such a large convention Center that should have their act together way better than they did!

The OCCC is a beautiful conference and convention center, huge and as such requires to have long walks to go anywhere in the building. As we stayed in the Hyatt at least there is a direct walkway to the building.
May be because of is size the temperature in the conference rooms is hard to set in a comfortable level.

It amazes me how clean the OCCC is kept especially with the large amounts of people coming and going. I do feel they need to lower prices on concessions or welcome you to bring your own food and beverage of utilizing the center for an all day event. Parking should also be reduced!

Everything from the hourlong wait to park to the long walks with minimal signage to let you know you were heading the right way (add in almost another hour for that), to the unbearably long lines and nonsensical extra line to pick up convention merch instead of it being given to you with your badge like they used to, to the overcrowded convention floor made this the worst convention experience I've ever had out of the fifteen plus cons I've been to (including three or four great Megacons in the past). Epic photos was probably the worst part of the whole dreadful day. I truly hope other people had a more enjoyable experience than I did, but I will not be returning to Megacon when there are so many better run options in the convention industry.

The site is huge. If you go to an event, be prepared to walk a lot. Comfortable shoes will be essential. In addition, you must find out in advance the locations of what you want to see because the movements are considerable from one end to the other. Parking is limited considering the tens of thousands of people who usually arrive for the events, so try to arrive early to secure a space. The most disappointing thing of all was the coffee: I didn't find a single good coffee in all of their in-house coffee shops. Expensive and ugly.

They can really put on some great events here. They have an annual volleyball tournament here with over 400 teams. Also when we were there they had a cheer event and a school band competition at the same time. Everything is great except the drop off lane in front. It usually get super backed up.

Here for Volleyball National tournament. Very organized and efficient layout with the North side and South side parking and Lobby/Foyers. Better food and drink options in those areas than found at most tournaments. FYI the ground level where the courts are food selection bland and uninspiring go up a level for everything from Chinese to Steak! Good news on ground level Restrooms are everywhere! The reason I didn’t do 5 stars is the parking booth: I purchased a 4 day parking pass but still had to wait inline with the cars that were buying passes. Not efficient for sure.

Meeting rooms were comfortable and never too hot or cold. Restrooms were plentiful. Only downside was signage to find your room/meeting was not enough. Trolly stop nearby and easy pickup for a ride share car made everything easy and made our trip wonderful.

Hi, 521trishl. Thank you for your comments. It is wonderful to hear that you had a positive experience at the Center of Hospitality. We appreciate the feedback you provided with regards to signage at the Center, and I will ensure that this is passed on to the relevant department.

So much traffic, no parking, 4 hours searching for a place to park and still couldn't get to MegaCon. They should have set up a way to very people to Comic-Con. The pre-planning of the parking was atrocious, they spaced the cars out so far in the grassy areas they could have another two rows, but no they didn't think ahead or plan for this many people.

There are a lot to chose from. Depending on your budget. Just stayed at the Rosin but had roaches in room so don’t recommend them.

I am looking for a hotel that is within walking distance to this hotel (preferably by covered skywalk). Hotel needs to be a suite and sleep 6. Any recommendations? We have an event and the recommended hotel is the Hilton, but the rooms only sleep 4. Thanks!

The Rosen is right next door and the Hyatt is across the street.

Looking for a hotel near or around the convention ( don't mind taking a cab ride) price range $100-150/ night , family friendly. Decent but fair price for food or at least places to eat near by. I am gonna be staying 7 nights at 3 meals a day - it adds up . Anybody share there opinion- it is very much appreciated. Not to many places offer free breakfast

Yout best bet is to google hotels near convention center because there are so many nearby that if I mention a few, you might miss a better deal with another hotel. Also, there are tons of restaurants on I-Drive and it will be less expensive then eating at the hotel or convention center. I also suggest looking into the I Drive trolley or taking an ÜBER as opposed to a taxi.

Trying to figure out is there any main attraction for kids near by. How far is Disney world ?
Written 3 December 2016
Hi
Convention Center is on International Drive & Universal Studios is further up on International. Taxis available & tram service runs on International Drive, though I am not sure if it will go all the way down to the Convention Center. FunSpot is also on International, beyond Universal but not as far as Premium Outlets.
Disney is about 30 minutes from International Drive - depending on traffic. Hope this helps & enjoy your stay.

Is there a way to find out which hotel is closest to a particular exhibit hall? I have a bit of trouble walking and don't want to pick the hotel that is farthest away.

There are quite a few hotels in the area. The Hilton is connected to the Convention Center, which got great reviews.
