If you are going to DW, Epcot is a must. It is much less intense and crowded than MK. Test track and Soaring are my favorites.

There are some things for the little ones, but personally, I find a lot more to do in Magic Kingdom for the younger ones.

Definitely buy your tickets online and the least expensive way to NASA would be to rent a car. Many are available and you can also pickup at the airport upon your arrival. Cameras are permitted and food options are available... More

The app is the Disney world app. Yes you can book ahead of time, you can choose from a list of rides and times available. Yes you can bring water into the park, the bottles need to be sealed when you arrive though.
