I mentioned this when I reviewed Blue Springs Park as it is located on the park grounds. It was an interesting place which had original fixtures from the era. There was no tour, you gave yourself a self guided one. There is information in the different rooms. I did enjoy it.

This home is on the Blue Springs State Park Grounds. Unfortunately, it is closed so you can only walk around the property and look into the windows. It would require a complete restoration in ordre to be a nice tour for visitors.

This is a beautiful old home and great example of days gone by. The self-guided tour is interesting, and it's fun to imagine what life was like what back when. And, the price is right. Blue Springs State Park is a real gem, a real treasure.

As soon as you walk into the musty odered house, all the energy is completely sucked out of you, and you feel depressed. I'm a person with clairvoyant abilities so I don't know if that makes a difference but this place is history. It's old. And you can feel the lives that once lived here. You can feel how old... More

Well preserved old early Florida home. Most of the house is painted, but the beautiful woodworking on the staircase and the kitchen door are unpainted/restored. Definitely worth a stop if you are going to Blue Springs. Can only visit the first floor, the upstairs is blocked off. The downstairs rooms house some interesting artifacts in glass cases.

A plantation home to self guide tour while at BSP. Enjoyed walking around and seeing items of the home.

In the middle of pristeen Blue Springs State Park. Very informative self tour. The grounds are great for swimming, picknicking or walking the path to the Spring.

The rooms are mostly bare so you'll have to use your imagination a bit, but it is otherwise a lovely little stop while visiting Blue Springs. We came through with our cub scout group and while the waning grandeur and history of the building was lost on them all of the other adults enjoyed the space. It seemed like a... More

There is a lot of history in this old house. This was the main hub for commerce goods coming into Orange City. There use to be a set of railroad tracks that ran from there to the downtown area to transport goods. The cart would be powered by a team of horses. If your a history buff. This would be... More

Good little self guided trip of the home and the grounds inside Blue Spring state park. Close to the river end. Lots of fish in the Spring run
