What a lovely family orientated cinema. I had two children with me and the staff were very welcoming and offered special seating which enabled the children to be raised in their chairs during the film. The screen is large and gets bigger as the main...More

Great local cinema. Friendly staff, inexpensive, ,let's keep this small cinema going, instead of paying the big company prices with mostly unfriendly staff and huge queues. It's great!!

Although only a single screen this cinema shows most of the latest releases and for a really good value price. We particularly like the Tuesday afternoon showing with subtitles and then a visit to the local Wetherspoons 100 metres away for steak night.

Have started using the Scala again in Ilkeston as a refreshing change to the multiplex 3D options elsewhere in Derby. Seats may not be quite as comfy but it's never packed, parking is right outside and the price is very reasonable, even cheaper on certain...More
