Prices to enter the park used to be $6.00/ car load. Now there is a day use fee per person. I believe Alexander Springs is $5.50 per per. How is a family supposed to afford this every weekend?

The water is crystal clear and excellent for a swim. Make sure you bring goggles to see under water. Before dipping yourself, walk the short path around the springs. There is also an extensive picnic area and campsite.

What a lovely day for a picnic and cooling off in the cool water. We are new to the area, and this is a VERY good place to recommend for relaxation.

One of my favorite springs! Loved by our whole group. Totally worth the $5.50 per person. They take care of it nicely! Been multiple times. On our most recent trip, we launched our own Kayaks, and kayaked down the run. We were about 30 minutes...More

Beautiful place to rent a canoe and go swimming. The water is crystal clear, you will see hundreds of fish a few turtles and some birds. Amazing daytrip from Orlando. If you have snorkelinggear, bring it.

Our group of 8 women kayakers love this place. It is crystal clear and we often see turtles swimming underwater by our kayaks. Yes, there are gators all over, but we've been here many times and never felt threatened. Just be smart! This time there...More

This is an excellent campground if you want to experience a typical Florida forest and a first-magnitude freshwater spring. There is plenty to do here. The park offers hiking, swimming, canoeing/ kayaking, fishing and more. The campgrounds and staff are great. We camped over the...More

We stopped here on our way from Clearwater to Jacksonville on our return trip to NJ. Took a detour to come here, it only added about half an hour to the drive. The $5.50 per person charge is pricey, and it doesn't accept American the...More

I've been going snorkeling here for years, and this used to be magnificent. But pollution, algae growth and too many people have all but ruined this once pristine spring. Other springs in the area suffering also. Sad.

Hi Elizabeth. Don't worry, gators aren't in the swimming area. They really want nothing to do with us humans lol! Have fun if you go!
