Great place to spend the day.

Loved taking our canoe down the river and seeing all the wildlife. We saw monkeys, birds, gators and a black bear. A once in a life time experience.

One of my favorite places to kayak. Unspoiled Florida as it used to be. Pristine water. Lots of wildlife, but stay clear of the monkeys. You can look up the history of the monkeys in the area. Makes for an interesting read. Enjoy!

Although pollution and excessive groundwater pumping have somewhat diminished these treasures, Silver Springs and the Silver Springs run are still magical windows into the real Florida. At Silver Spring and on the river run, it's easy to think of yourself as a time traveler, from the first explorers discovering the region and its fountains of youth, to 1930s vacationers seeking... My dog & I go here often, enjoying the walk and the wildlife. Much to bee seen if you're quiet. There are camping spaces and very good picnic areas that can be reserved for families and larger gatherings. I visit 4/5 times weekly.

Went on a camping trip for a long weekend with our grandkids. The lots were awesome. Lots of room, kids had plenty of room to run . around, ride bikes and play right in our lot. Campground and bathrooms very clean. Will be bavk to spend another trip here.

This was a second trip to Silver Springs. Our first visit centered around seeing the park facilities and some light kayaking. The park is beautiful but the scenery on our first full kayaking down the 4.5 miles of the Silver River was really awesome. So much wildlife to see and experience close up. Like really close up and finding yourself... More

We enjoyed a nice kayaking trip on the Silver Springs River. Saw quite a few alligators, turtles and lots of fish!

Very pretty and peaceful. Clean, clear water. On the way to Silver a Springs we saw alligators and fish and money's on the shore. Some were very close to the boat. They were as interested in us as we were in them.

If you want to relax and unwind, take this cruise. The 2-3 hours cruise is through pristine river country, filled with wildlife. Captain Tom is most knowledgeable, showing all of the important things like the many springs, shipwrecks and stories of found artifacts. This tour far exceeds the glass bottom boat tours in the same area.

I have visited Silver Springs backs in the 70's and current. The nature aspect, scenery and history is part of the boat rides. Prices are reasonable. Now I will tell you, The springs does not appeal to all, the fresh water springs are loaded with crystal clear springs, wild life, birds and manatee (certain times of the year) so call... More
