Visited Doornkop Fish and Nature Reserve. Saw a number of animals on short game drives. Did not attempt the 4x4 routes. This could be an attraction to some. Some beautiful bird life as well. Doornkop is a hidden gem where one can go and unwind and just enjoy been in the bush and relax! One does not expect this diverse valley but it is always a welcome sight when you turn that corner. It is good to see some improvements again as the place was declining but some love and attention can be felt... More

We chose Doornkop 10b for our weekend visit and we were not disappointed. A beautiful home, well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. Perfect spot for anyone who enjoys fishing. Great walks and beautiful scenery with sightings of game. The warthogs are the best although we were delighted to see Blesbok on the reserve. We will definitely be back.

A stunning experience. Huge 5 ensuite bedrooms, 2 lounges, enormous dining room, 2 internal fireplaces. Saw most of the wildlife species from our balcony. The flyfishing dams are the best kept and the units are exquisite.

Stayed at the resort for 7 days 11 to 18 Apr 2014. What a stunning experience - Utilizing just 3 of the 5 ensuite bedrooms our unit was right next to a small river. Saw most of the wildlife species from our balcony! The flyfishing dams are the best kept we have encountered at any resort. The unit has everything... More

We spent a weekend at Doornkop. Enjoyed it very much, but had to leave very early on Monday morning and could therefore not return our key to get our key deposit back. Left the key with security, which management confirmed they receive. We also forgot an item in the unit and asked management to post this to us and recover... More
