Nice beach and be sure to stay to watch the sunset as the sun looks like a giant orange ball of flame. Plenty of people will be there so get there early to get a good spot for a photo opportunity.

We loved the beautiful clear blue/green water and white sand. Like the caribbean, but in the US! Very peaceful and relaxing beach. Development has been controlled to retain the natural charm of the beach.

We stayed at the marina and spent every evening sitting on the beach watching the sun set. We found that many of the locals did the same. Everyone gravitated towards the water, many just to talk or enjoy the soft sand. The band and tiki bar across from the marina was great.

This is a great beach for just killing time, holding hands at sunset, or playing a old six-string. Reminds me of the summer of 69!

This is simply a beautiful beach!! Great for families. Parking is a serious struggle, but it is everywhere on Sanibel or Captiva. Great resort across the street, and plenty of places within a 10 minute walk or 5 minutes drive to eat or shop at.

Love the soft sand of this beach. So relaxing on this beach. The point is so cool to walk to and from. Love seeing the dolphins.

This is one of my favorite beaches to spend the day at. The sound of the waves, strolling through the waves and finding that special shell that makes your day! If you're a people watcher, you'll enjoy!

We were glad we drove to the tip of the island for the view of the sunset. Sanibel is pretty, but Captiva is spectacular at sundown. A word of caution: watch out for those gnats at dusk. Cover up or spray.

Beautiful beach and shoreline that is covered with shells. It was an awesome experience for this family from Michigan. Sunsets are priceless.

This stretch of beach is the best for shelling! Lots of good shells to collect but if you can catch it after a storm, you will have hit the jackpot. I have been on Captiva Beach for the last four years the last week of March to the first week of April. Always great weather. Always warm ocean water. And... More
