This lovely little chapel is steeped in history. The tiny adjacent cemetery has a poignant and haunting story. The Christmas service here was perfect--just perfect. We have driven by golf cart or car, but it would also be a wonderful place to stop while biking...More

Exploring the island. The chapel is lovely and the cemetery has some very old markers. It's still a place of loves lost.

The Captiva Chapel By-The-Sea and cemetery is a peaceful almost spiritual place to visit. It seems to be untouched by time...a time machine that takes you back to a simpler day. This is truly my piece of heaven on this Earth.

This is a nice side trip.tomsee some history on Captiva. Don't overlook the Historic Captiva Cemetery and the custom of placing sea shells on the head stones. Beautiful trees and flower.

This place is always very inspirational, but last year my wife and I went for the Christmas show and it was spine tingling. But whenever, stop by.
